The backlash has begun.
Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Chuck Schumer (D-NY) have struck a deal to resurrect parts of Biden’s Build Back boondoggle under the new bill the “Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.”
“I now propose and will vote for the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. Rather than risking more inflation with trillions in new spending, this bill will cut the inflation taxes Americans are paying, lower the cost of health insurance and prescription drugs, and ensure our country invests in the energy security and climate change solutions,” Manchin said. “President Biden, Leader Schumer and Speaker Pelosi have committed to advancing a suite of commonsense permitting reforms this fall.”
Prominent GOP voices shared their reactions on Twitter, many warning about the dangers of passing a spending bill while America is on the precipice of an economic crisis.
Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) says the new bill will bankrupt America.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says it will cost American jobs.
AOC: Just print more money. Problem solved.
Bankrupt America , well Obama started it and now they want to finish it off

Manchin must have ended up with a donkey head in his bed ... or not. He’s a DemonRat ... whatever hurts ‘we the people’ & America is what they do ... it’s a feature, not a bug.
Whenever government people use the word “commonsense,” stand by to get royally screwed. There is NO common sense in Washington since Trump left. None.

Everyone predicted that at some point, Manchin would return to his roots.

I knew Manchin was a snake ever since he voted to confirm Kavanaugh right BEFORE his re-election in 2018 and then voted to impeach Trump (the first time) after he was safely re-elected and did not have to face the voters again until 2024. He has always been a snake and pretends to be a conservative when he needs to, but he has never followed through. He always lines up with Democrats when push comes to shove. West VA is going to get all kinds of pork from this.
It’s just the Dems way of getting cash into their friends pockets
Manchin’s motivation for this is twofold.
1. Gets him “cred” toward his dream of running for President as a Rat. I think he’s delusional, but he thinks he can do a Clintonesque triangularization and get the Rat nomination.
2. He’ll sell the vote here in WV as a Byrd-like goody bag for the Mountain State. Many here still remember the Byrd droppings too fondly.
Well, they get paid big money to do their jobs ... their duty to America. As the grizzled old Petty Officer replied when a newer recruit complained about a task being "impossible":
"Do your f*ckin' job and shut the f*ck up!"
