Dr. Oz defends Pennsylvania residency amid attacks from Fetterman

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Republican Senate nominee Mehmet Oz came to visit the Washington City Mission Tuesday. It’s a homeless shelter and rehabilitation program. Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 went along on the tour and asked him about the campaign.

The staff at the mission showed Oz the facility. It houses 160 people at a time, which includes help for men, women, mothers and their children, as well as a specific program for veterans.

It’s part of his Senate campaign tour across the state.

We asked the Republican nominee to respond to accusations from his Democratic opponent, Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, that he really lives in New Jersey and is staying at a Pennsylvania home that his in-laws own just to run for office.

“Just to answer the question, my father, who's an immigrant and lived the American dream, which is why I love this country so much, joined the faculty at Jefferson Medical School, which is in Philadelphia. We grew up just south of Philadelphia," Oz said. "I went to medical school at Penn in Philadelphia, went to business school at Wharton in Philadelphia. I married my wife in the house we live in right now in Montgomery County, outside of Philadelphia."

Oz said he and his family did move to New Jersey for the taping of his talk show, but that they moved back to the Keystone State a few years ago.

Dr Azz is a liar. He did not move here "a few years ago"....he moved here for the Senate race and nothing else in true carpetbagger fashion.

Now he wants to deceive people with regard to the reasons why he moved back to PA.

One of the biggest things Oz had in his favor when he launched his campaign is that he had no connections to the corrupt, feckless turds who run the PA GOP.

Oz spent a lot of years in Pennsylvania. He went to Penn State, worked there, was married there, his kids were born there. Lotsa folks live in Jersey for convenience.

Except Sir Hillary NEVER lived in NY prior to declaring herself a New Yorker...Oz lived, went to school, worked and married in Pa.. He’s more Pa than he is Joisey...

He IS The GOP nominee, so can it.

Do you want the democrat to win? Focus your efforts elsewhere, unless you do.

I’m not sure what the hell you’re talking about. I was explaining that a “carpetbagger” in the PA Senate race is a GOOD thing.

What an absolute scat fest and fustercluck this turd is….

Folks who ran around hyping this guy, are going to have a long summer and fall watching this fool absolutely drown…

You were warned…

Barnette was the candidate who actually could have had a shot against Fedderman, he’ll even MCCormick a classic Bush Era Wall Street money guy and globalist would have done better than this clown will end up doing….
but oh no, you listened to a bunch of flappy lipped pundits, majority of which had never set a foot in PA sell you an empty suit, globalist, fraud as “electable”.

Even with the biggest red wave ever at his back, it will be amazing if he ends the day within 5 points of Fedderman…

Fools, you were warned.

Not only is Mohammed Oz NOT a Pennsylvanian, he’s not even an American. Yeah, sure, people will say that JUST because he was born in Cleveland Ohio, that automatically makes him an American citizen. Neither one of his parents were American citizens when he was born here. In fact, both parents are now back in Turkey. Oz, is an anchor baby. He served in the Turkish military. What kind of American “citizen” serves in a hostile foreign army? The original intent of birthright citizenship clearly did NOT allow children of “immigrants” to be automatically declared citizens. The democrat courts have bastardized the true definition of the birthright laws.

So if you go by the original definition, Oz was/is NOT really an American citizen. He only has became one through naturalization. He is not qualified to be a USA senator. Pennsylvanians MUST vote third party and not allow a Recep Erdogan acolyte into the USA senate.

Like petulant children who throw tantrums when they don’t get what they want. STFU and vote for Fetterman if you don’t like Oz. The primary is over...

Pennsylvania? You mean that place where the Republicans in the state senate voted to change the voting laws that enabled the 2020 debacle? Home of turncoat Pat Toomey? Arlen Specter?

Pardon me if I’m not enthused about Oz.

You are correct.

I am thankful that FR is no longer the strong voice that it once was.

There are about a dozen FR posters, erik, hamiltonj and a few others that are constantly beating up on oz.

I donated and voted for Kathy but she lost and the choice is now fetterman or oz.

erik l is a sick loser that will cut off his nose to spite his face{probably an improvement} and will rant for days about how Kathy would have been better, but she lost.

I voted for Lou Barletto for gubbernor, but he lost so should I vote for for that puke shapiro?

As far as the voice of FR being diminished, I've been here since the late 90's {didn't become a regular quarterly paying poster until I retired in 04} and I've never seen FR miss it's quarterly goal until the last quarter.

There are way fewer contributors {both financial as well as posters} at FR.

If we miss this quarter, will we be in a recession?

We can ask Powell, and he will redefine it.

Dr. Azz is the 'Me-Too' candidate in that race. "Fetterman is for tax and spend?? Well, I am too." We had an opportunity to present a clear and distinct choice to the PA voters in this "red wave", but she was smeared and trashed. Instead the me-too carpetbagger candidate was boosted up... because the democrats and their press would "not attack him as much".

“It’s part of his Senate campaign tour across the state.” Well. At least he’s attempting to understand something he knows nothing of !! I have questions for him... How was the food in the Turkish army? What was your rank? Did or will you release your Turkish army records. Another none choice, choice!

Who gives a rat’s azz where OZ is from. He may have been a good doctor, but he’s a snake-oil salesman, at least on his shows and ads. Having said that, he’s the nominee of the Republican Party in Pa. and ANY one with an R behind their name is infinitely better than any Democrat. To withhold a vote for Oz due to whichever army he was in or whether he lived in New Jersey is a vote to keep Chuck Schumer as Senate Majority leader and give the D’s control of legislation at least in the Senate, and full say on Supreme Court nominations.

I am not necessarily arguing with your assertion with regard to birthright citizenship. By the original definition Oz would likely not be a “natural-born citizen”. However, even a naturalized citizen or a citizen by way of a law passed by Congress can serve as a US Senator. There is no such restriction as with the Presidency.
