The authors of a new report on digital identity systems warned “the actual and potential” human rights violations arising from the digital ID model can be “severe and potentially irreversible.”
The 100-page report — “Paving the Road to Hell? A Primer on the Role of the World Bank and Global Networks in Promoting Digital ID” — published by New York University’s (NYU) Center for Human Rights and Global Justice urged human rights organizations to heed the threats posed by a global push for digital IDs.
The NYU researchers said many proponents — including the World Bank — portray digital IDs as a means to achieving greater inclusivity and environmental sustainability when, in fact, the systems are likely to do just the opposite.
According to the report, the digital ID has been dressed up as an “unstoppable juggernaut and inevitable hallmark of modernity and development in the 21st century,” causing dissenting voices to be “written off as Luddites and barriers to progress.”
The authors argued for open debate “with full transparency and involving all relevant stakeholders,” including the most marginalized and most vulnerable.
The authors, who include Christiaan van Veen, L.L.M., special advisor on new technologies and human rights to the United Nations, urged the human rights community and related civic society organizations to ensure that global decisions about the adoption of digital ID systems are not hastily made but are based on “serious evidence and analysis.”
Where digital ID systems threaten human rights, the NYU researchers said, such endeavors should be “stopped altogether.”

The technocracy could easily, quietly stifle dissent.
A dissenter could:
have limited access to information, credit, benefits, jobs
get tied up in red tape, legalities
be targeted for harassment
be charged different prices without recourse
etc.
This ain’t no upwardly mobile freeway...

You can’t have a one world government controlling folks without a way of knowing where everyone is at and what they are doing.
What an example of ID abuse? Call AT&T to sign up for new service or change existing service. They require all kinds of ID, which apparently they have on record for their customers. DOB, SSN, etc, Pin Number, email address to confirm, text message to confirm..... on and on.....
End times ping
They’ll eventually tie everything together. The Central Banks are involved because the Digital ID will also be used for CBDC - Central Bank Digital Currency. Then we have the EGS thing which for now, is for corporations but will end up being applied to people. The Digital ID in India had/has biometric data so they could instantly know a person’s vaccination status. A QR code will fit a lot of data so other things could be added like driver’s license, proof of insurance etc. Whatever data isn’t directly imprinted on the QR Code can be in the cloud and connected to your QR Code.
There will be many things tied to the Digital ID and many ways for them to deny people this or that.
Then there’s the “You’ll Own Nothing and be Happy” thing. Renting basic things that you used to own will be easy. Just a few taps on the phone and you can rent that Instant Pot for the night for $0.35. $0.50 fee if you don’t clean it. They could nickel and dime people just like Share Cropping farmers back in the day.
Human rights violations? HAH! The oligarchy plans human rights eradication. Tell it right
Yep... when that ID is implemented, that’s the cell door of the digital gulag slamming shut.
An implanted chip-what harm could it do?
Revelation 13-17: “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

Gee. Ya think? Hate to tell them, but that ship has sailed. Just ask the J6 POWs identified by cell geo tracking.
NYU Researchers. LOL
But I guarantee you, to a man and woman, these people will nonetheless continue to blindly vote for, and support, every progressive-statist power-grab, and leftist social-engineering scheme there is.
We are certainly living in ‘interesting times’, watching Bible Prophecies being fulfilled.
That is why digital ID systems are being designed.

India, the largest democracy in the world, has photo ID for all adults, about 1 Billion (1000 million) people. I have not heard of any abuses. But voter fraud is very difficult in India because without that government issue photo ID, no one can vote.

The consolidation of data is especially troubling against the backdrop of India’s pressing need for surveillance reform.[70] Many central government agencies have practically unfettered power to “intercept, monitor and decrypt all data contained in any computer.”[71] The Central Monitoring System (CMS)[72] grants security agencies direct access to communication data, while the National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID)[73] is a surveillance agency set up almost simultaneously with the UIDAI. NATGRID links [10] intelligence agencies with [21] data sources, including air and train travel, telecommunications, tax, banking, and immigration data pools. Officials say that the NATGRID database had also included a pool of mobile numbers, vehicle numbers, passport numbers, Aadhaar numbers, arms licenses, bank accounts, travel details, and social media accounts.[74]
Biometrics verification is being sold as a part of Big ID programs as the “safest” way to verify and deduplicate (or detect duplicate registrations of) identities. Biometric systems collect and store a representation of a person’s physiological characteristics, biological properties, behavioral aspects such as, but not limited to, fingerprints, facial features, irises, and retinal veins.
Contrary to the UIDAI’s claims, the central database where Aadhaar data was stored could be breached to input or pull out data.[175] Illegal data markets abound in India,176 where Aadhaar details are available for sale. Enrollers' fingerprints could be duplicated and used to create new IDs. Aadhaar's architecture and lack of accountability resulted in vast leakages of Aadhaar numbers — in 2018,[177] an Aadhaar leak was named that year’s biggest data breach.[178] For less than 10 dollars, a buyer could get information on anyone in the CIDR via an illegal “gateway” into the UIDAI portal.[179] This was just one of many data leaks.[180] Other government departments that collected Aadhaar data were also insecure. For example, in 2018, reproductive health information of almost 200,000 women were leaked.[181] Researchers have extensively documented the range of Aadhaar-enabled frauds that have grown over the last decade.[182] This includes identity theft, fingerprints of enrollers being faked (using fingerprint molds) to generate hundreds of fake Aadhaars, markets where fingerprint molds can be bought, and bank frauds. Some of this was due to government websites with open web directories that had PDF scans of dozens of Aadhaar cards available to view and download.[183]
I signed up for a facebook account so I could use marketplace but I used a fake last name. Within two days they flagged the account and wanted me to turn on my web cam or take a selfie video with a phone to verify my identity.
A few days ago I was going to get my old work history online from the IRS. Figured it would be quicker than digging through the old files. They wanted the same thing, web cam or video selfie.
Dollar General has a camera right up close on your face if you use the self checkout register.
Facial recognition data is being collected on every person. Next they want other biometric data.
