Democrats are trying to jin up the gun grabbers and abortionists in a desperate attempt to keep control of the house.

The problem is people who vote because of gun control issues most likely are voting against gun control.

People who vote for politicians who support gun control want goodies from the government, gun control just may or may not come along with said goodies.

We cannot even deport a few million illegal alien invaders because it would be “Too hard”.
Unlike illegals, firearms may be stored in very small spaces and do not require oxygen, food, or toilet facilities to survive.
Firearms hidden away from as far back as the revolutionary war still turn up on occasion.
The anti’s could not achieve their goal in a hundred years, but they might destroy the foundations of our country.

Lots of the banned weapons are the types that you may need when the Feds come a’ knockin’...

Saw that. Since he was in the foyer of the bathroom, less chance to hit someone else.

I think there are now 25 States with Constitutional Carry, what if some or all of them passed this Identical Law and included ALL Federal Employees as prohibited persons!!!

House cannot pass unconstitutional legislation on its own.
Takes Senate and President as well.
Then has to survive SCOTUS.

NFA-34 is the model they are going to try for.
After all, it is “Settled Law” that has been in force for nearly a hundred years.
Should have been repealed or ruled unconstitutional from the day of passage.
But the MSM of the time worked the same sort of hysteria that is being pushed now.

Does that ban also affect our belt fed weapons?
Asking for a friend.
M-40-s are single shot as are cannons.

Even a single action colt is semi-automatic.

One reason I think this is ultimately unlikely to pass is that its passage will invite the current SCOTUS to re-examine the NFA of 1934.

I tend to think that the "tax" and controls on fully automatic weapons and artillery ("destructive devices") will stand because they are "unusual and dangerous," although they are "unusual" only because of the law itself.

I tend to think the restrictions on "short barreled" weapons and suppressors will go, as well as any state or Federal "assault weapons" bans and high capacity magazine bans. This is strongly suggested by the reversals and remands coming out of Bruen.

Imo, if at this point a ban or not a ban makes a difference to anyone they should turn in the firearms they already own.

Well, they’ve got this on the table in the event that there’s a mass shooting that fills the bill between now and the midterms. When it fails, blame the Republicans.

I fear that SCOTUS might go the way of the first fifteen minutes of “Soylent green”.
The assassin ask his victim, “So, this is right?”, to which the victim replies, “No, but necessary”.
SCOTUS might fully realize that the alleged “Law” is unconstitutional but not rule that way as they no longer feel that Americans can be trusted with the intent of the 2A.
MSM manufactured lies and hysteria coupled with a corrupt Fed. Gov. brought us the NFA. I fear that precedent.

I'm surely no constitutional scholar but it seems to me that the SCOTUS decision of a few years ago in "Caetano v Massachusetts" (a 9-0 decision,BTW) pretty much makes this piece of cr@p unconstitutional from the very start.

But Rat Party Headquarters doesn't care about constitutionality. They just pass a law knowing that it will take years for it to be overturned...and then they pass another.
