Some people here are always ready to jump the gun to further their gripes.
The article refers to a case of polio transmitted by someone who took the live (weakened) oral vaccine.
My bad, with 90% of posters anti-covid-vax, I made that assumption.
Bottom line is ANY medical procedure has risks, and that includes vaccines. Getting admitted into a hospital is risky. But we accept the risk by looking at benefits/harm ratio.
Even the greatest vaccine ever created, the smallpox vaccine, which got rid of that nasty 30%+ mortality disease from earth did not prevent me from smallpox infection. But the vaccine did its job and I recovered nicely.
