WASHINGTON, D.C. – The idea of a law to ensure that same-sex and mixed-sex couples have a right to obtain a marriage license is gaining momentum.
U.S. Sen. Thom Tillis (R-North Carolina) is one of several Republicans who on Wednesday voiced possible support for a bill passed Tuesday with bipartisan support in the House that would codify those rights.

Why in the hell is the federal government (even) involved in the sacred institution of marriage. It’s a states issue at most and more likely a personal issue between me,God and my wife!

Tillis is an Ultra RINO. And a disgrace to the State of North Carolina. Don’t bother writing or calling his office. He works for the Ruling Class. As for the People, they can eat cake.
This is why we can’t have anything nice.
It wasn’t too long ago, ... in the run-up to the unconstitutional imposition of homo-marriage ... that numerous states were preparing state constitutional amendments to define marriage as between one man and one woman. The left made political hay about this - vociferously opposing such efforts.
My how times have changed. Nice that the left is in a panic sees that all their decades of destroying institutions and substituted by their crap does not make their homo-institutions so sacred... that they have to scramble to try to protect it.

Tillis helped craft a marriage amendment to the NC constitution which handily passed and was enshrined in our law until the SCOTUS managed to sweep away our will in one [Oberk]fell swoop.

Yes he is. What a disappointment he and Burr have been to NC. I firmly believe the 16th, and 17th amendments should be repealed. Put this country back on a solid constitutional basis with the states having their rights restored.
