DOJ 'ignored a lawful instruction' to declassify Russia-conspiracy documents

The U.S. Department of Justice "ignored a lawful instruction" from President Trump to declassify and release to the public hundreds of pages of information about how it participated in the now-debunked Russia collusion conspiracy against the president.

That conspiracy, dreamed up by Democrats including Hillary Clinton, falsely contended that the Trump campaign from 2016 "colluded" with Russia on the election.

The DOJ, FBI and other federal agencies jumped on the political agenda, created false documents to submit to the courts and then obtained permission from those courts to spy on Trump associates.

A multi-year investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller found the original claims were without foundation. But the Democrats used the made-up claims to hurt Trump and his presidency for years.

The swamp was deep against Trump, even with Trump as president. How much deeper is it now?

It’s a swirling den of negative activity right now, trying to
prevent Trump from being in a position of power again.

Trump failed to fire everyone when he came into office, then poorly chose staff. Among everything, these two doom his presidency. Sad considering he was reputed to be such a great picker of talent.

To put it another way Trump is, genuinely, a nice guy. He thinks that if he's nice to someone, they will, in turn, treat him with fairness and loyalty. That may have worked well when he was in the private sector but he found out that there were/are a lot of snakes in the upper echelons of the federal govt. who will turn against someone for self-advancement and other reasons.

The good news is that I think he's learned from his mistakes and he will be a lot more selective in his appointments should he win the Presidency again.

Trump made the gross mistake of believing those working at the highest levels are supportive of the country. Sadly they don’t, they believe in their pensions and their status in the deep state and in the country as it allows them to continue. So, he figured they would get on board.

Beyond that, he has to get his immediate staff and cabinet leaders approved by the Senate wherein RINO Mitch the B...h ruled. I firmly believe none of that Russian crap would have gone past step one had it not been for the support of most of the RINO senators and the POS Ryan in the house. After him, I cannot get out of my mind the image of the total POS Pelousy ripping up Trumps state message. I frankly had been him I would have slugged her.

He relied on Deep Staters to choose staff upon their recommendations.

He was naïve to think that people in DC were patriotic Americans...................

I commend your hindsight. Mine tells me that Trump was told in no uncertain terms that he would be impeached on the fake Steele Dossier crapola if he stepped out of line.

How do you run Washington without the people who know how to run Washington?

The only mistake he made was trusting that these people love their country more then the hate the other party.

An easy mistake to make, and he found out too late it’s basically the entire executive service, and everyone they hire under them.

When President Trump 47 is inaugurated, his first action is to pull a Reagan (when he fired the Air Traffic controllers) - RETIRE/FIRE EVERY bureaucrat hired in the federal government since Ophonybama was inaugurated!

That is right - PURGEM ALL!

I learned that doesn't even work in the private sector, about when I turned 30.

I liked Trump, but don’t trust him anymore. He seemed incapable of selecting verifiable allies for his cabinet.
