If one looks to the North-West, Slade Gordon was worth remembering, nearly as good as Wayne Morse—but this trip down memory lane deserves to stop with Joseph Lane, one of Oregon’s first two Senators, VP on one of the Dem tickets of 1860, and the one honoured by Lane County, home of the University of Oregon.
That is a legend that deserves to be revelled in.
