If you haven’t gone to the link, you may not have realised that today has been the hottest ever recorded in the UK. 104.5F in Lincolnshire, 104.4 at Heathrow Airport and various sites around London, the previous UK maximum of 101.7 in 2019 beaten at 34 sites across the east and southeast. Hottest ever in Scotland also, Wales yesterday.
London is full of grassy parks. This result is hardly surprising.
