The man who was caught on viral video jumping from elevated Brooklyn subway tracks while fleeing cops said Monday that he made the dangerous leap because he was terrified of going back to Rikers Island.
“When I made that jump it was like ‘damn either go back to Rikers Island or risk your life taking that jump’ and that jump could’ve been death if I missed,” Kendall Floyd, 25, told The Post by phone from the notorious jail complex, where he’s been since his arrest on July 6.
“I was willing to risk my life than to come back here and now that I’m here, it’s worse than it’s ever been.” The remarks come after a $25 million wrongful death notice of claim was filed Friday against the Department of Correction, which has seen a nearly 60% increase in deaths in-custody so far this year compared to 2021.

You could also avoid Rikers Island by, oh I don’t know, NOT COMMITING CRIME. Loser should have gotten a job.
Maybe not being a criminal would have been a better choice......
I wouldn’t want to be in jail with Harvey Weinstein either.
He’s still in Rikers?
I didn’t check, but upon doing so found that he is now in California to face charges there.
That’s the way jail should be.
Was hoping a train would have gobbled up the cannibal. A train has to eat too.
Ohhhhh... a seatbelt violation! Get this hardened criminal off the streets!
I’d let him off just because he pulled off that jump...and who knows, maybe Hollywood would hire him as a stuntman.
Brian got busted on a narco rap
He beat the rap by rattin’ on some bikers
He said, hey, I know it’s dangerous
But it sure beats Riker’s
But the next day he got offed
By the very same bikers
Those are people who died, died
Those are people who died, died
Those are people who died, died
Those are people who died, died
They were all my friends, and they died
I thought they closed Rikers years ago.
A stuntman career in Hollywood would be more lucrative.
