Trump needs a primary challenger from the MAGA wing of the party, to keep his feet to the fire. In his 2020 reelection campaign he didn’t sound like a MAGA candidate. He spent a lot of time bragging about letting felons out of prison, and he blasted Biden for being “too tough” on drug offenders in his crime bill back in the 80s. Unlike 2016, Trump no longer talked about the wall,?infrastructure, taxing hedge fund billionaires, or bringing factories back from low-wage third world countries. Instead, he bragged about signing the McConnell-Ryan tax cuts for big, woke corporations. He also boasted about the vaccines. And you’re surprised he didn’t win like he won in 2016 - when he no longer sounded like the MAGA candidate of 2016?

Trump needs a MAGA challenger to make sure he stops straying from MAGA

That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, nor is it true. None of it.

Essentially, Trump listened to Mr and Mrs Ivanka for his 2020 run. If he gets back in the WH in 2024, I hope he leaves those two in NY where they fit in just fine with all the liberals.

“He has the role that Rush Limbaugh had in the ’90s and he’s very aware of it,” Schweppe said. “Tucker is setting the terms of ’24 right now, he is the moderator. He’ll be hugely influential in terms of setting the topics. He has the bully pulpit.”

And that's exactly where he's going to stay.  Tucker is going to keep the culture war alive, and any candidate who "gets it" will benefit. He loses influence if he tries to become the candidate himself.

Tucker would make a good Trump administration Spokesperson. Would love to see him go head to head with Jim Acosta.

More of your BS again. This is ridiculous. Trump will announce soon hopefully, and no one will challenge him.

I’m okay now.

Outside of the FoxNews viewership, most people have no idea who Carlson is.

He might manage 5%.

Did you know I'm running for President, too?

I'm gonna out-Pat Paulson by acting like him. LOL, my platform will revolve around raising the minimum wage to $100, with the theme, "No More Pikers!"

I'm working on some other ideas, if only to throw Democrat policies back in their faces, like shutting down windmills and solar grids, because of all the birds they're killing.

Tucker and Gutfell, like most Liberaltarians, would agree to vote for Stalin if given a big sack of dope to smoke with their queer boyfriend.

“Instead, he bragged about signing the McConnell-Ryan tax cuts for big, woke corporations”

During his 2016 campaign Trump spoke about ending the “carried interest” loophole for the Wall Street financiers which taxed income flowing to partners in an investment fund at the lower capital gains rate instead of at regular income rates. The private equity industry has been responsible for the pillaging of American businesses over the past 30 years and the offshoring of millions of US middle class jobs. The partners in these firms have become billionaires while the average American worker has watched the American dream evaporate.

Once Trump took office, an end to carried interest was not part of the McConnell Ryan tax costs which Trump took credit for.

Trump 2020 - 74,216,154

Trump 2016 - 62,984,828

11 million more votes. REAL votes - not the fake ones they ginned up for Joey Diapers.

What a load of nonsense!
You need a strong injection with Chloroquine or something to get back to your senses.
The entire article is stupid.
Tucker has been to Easter Europe twice in the last couple of months and presented programs from there. Does that means he's running to be president of Hungary?
How do you far left trolls manage to get to post this garbage on FR anyways?

The host of the event asked him. Tucker said he fully plans to stay where he is.

Yeah?
How many criminals did Biden/Obama pardon vs President Trump?

Obama/Biden pardoned a massive 1,927 individuals convicted of federal crimes (HIGHEST IN HITORY).

Vs.

President Trump paroned granted executive clemency to ONLY 237 individuals charged or convicted of federal criminal crimes

So who was tougher on convicted felons then?
Its not even close.
Its President Trump by far.
Can you take your far left propaganda elsewhere?
Its not going to sell here.

Candidate speech and ads cannot be censored. Tucker can do a lot to get word out on election integrity, Hunter Biden, etc. Should make the debates interesting

Interesting thoughts. Trump was tempered by GOP “advisors” who viewed MAGA through a political prism, “No, you can’t defend yourself. You’ll be impeached again. No, you can’t fire or hire him. Mitch won’t approve”. There was a time before being elected when Trump spoke his mind, ALWAYS. Carlson is doing precisely that now. I agree with you, Trump needs pressure from MAGA independents to counter GOP DeepStaters who will weasel their way back into the campaign and possible administration.
