Rush Limbaugh's $175 MILLION legacy: Oceanfront Palm Beach mansion radio talk show mogul bought for $3.9m in 1998 is quietly being sold by his wife

The Florida estate of the late conservative radio legend Rush Limbaugh roughly 2.7-acre Palm Beach estate, with a roughly 24,000-square-foot main house, is set to hit the market with an asking price of $150 million to $175 million.

Limbaugh, who died in February 2021, has multiple structures on Palm Beach's North Ocean Boulevard, in an area and a state that has seen many migrate during the pandemic.

The estate includes about 250 feet of oceanfront property that leads straight on to the beach.

The Presidential Medal of Freedom Winner's widow, Kathryn Adams Limbaugh, is in charge of selling the property.

The couple owns two homes that are connected to the main estate, which the radio host bought for about $3.9 million in 1998 and which has been part of the skyrocketing price for the entire area.

Real estate has exploded in the Palm Beach area since the beginning of the pandemic, with sales totaling tens and hundreds of millions of dollars for the likes of Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison.

The main house has seven bedrooms, a dozen bathrooms and a two-story library that can be fully accessed via an elevator.

The mansion also includes hundreds of feet of oceanfront property, as well as a pool and a putting green for golf.

Limbaugh, the radio icon and 'voice of American conservatism', died in February of 2021, aged 70,

He was diagnosed with Stage IV advanced lung cancer back in February 2020, hosted his last radio show on February 2 during which he revealed another host was on standby in case his health deteriorated.

'Well, my friends, that's it. Yet another excursion into broadcast excellence in the can. Enjoyed being with you today, always do. And look forward to the next time,' he said at the conclusion of the show.

I had an active membership to Rush 24/7 through iTunes. A couple of weeks ago I received a membership cancellation notice, (no refund through).

Regardless, they made his entire web site and its content free to access, you can see Rush’s Dittocam broadcasts, all 3 hours of them, from his last show in 2021, going all the way back to 2013.

I really rather enjoy going back and listening: https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/videos/free-video/kathryn-limbaugh-joins-clay-and-buck-to-remember-rush/

Contracts.

Ill or not, contracts.

Yes he could have tried to drop the contracts then the ENTIRE YEAR left to him it would be a battle of the courts.

If you’ve known someone whose terminal.... they are told to do what they love while they can and not strain themselves.

He made an excellent choice.

I would be extremely angry if it was felt I should deprive myself of enjoyment just to end up in court and handle that stress.

His word was his bond.

That’s NOT ‘a small thing.’

i would have loved for Rush to use his money and create an alternative to Facebook or Twitter. He obviously had the money, and he would have attracted talent because a lot of people working in Silicon Valley aren’t the flaming libs that we think they are. Truly a missed opportunity.

The house was designed for Rush and his needs. It’s probably too much house for a single woman.

It is also probably smart to downsize ahead of the collapse as well.

Ill or not, contracts.

With $175 million he had enough to buy or every contract for that last year. What good is all that money doing now? He has no kids.

he was a character that's for sure....

but I regret that all these very rich conservative talk show hosts couldn't get their act together to buy some media.....

even just a few newspapers or local radio....anything would be a start....

its nice to be rich but buying all that crap and it goes to no higher purpose?... no children or grandchildren.....its unsettling to me....MY OPINION....

maybe a foundation would have been good dedicated to conservative/constitutional causes...

“He soothed us into inaction.”
_______________________________

You must have missed the episodes during which he was CONTSTANTLY telling his listeners to go and VOTE.

To READ everything BEFORE the cast their vote.

To read history and to remember things as they were intended...such as the Constitution and not be ashamed to vote and to tell youngsters the ‘complete’ side of American History. He didn’t want the bad ignored; he wanted youngsters to learn how our Founding Fathers KNEW the system was flawed and yet they set up a system KNOWING those flaws could be corrected.

He told us over and over what it could cost us as Americans who failed to do their Citizen’s Duty.

If American voters did no action, it was upon their own shoulders, not Rush’s.

Because of that man I made sure I knew of every election. I am fairly sure millions were/are like me.

That is WHY the 2020 Election was handled by the dEmocrat party as it was: They knew Rush’s listeners would vote and not the way they wanted it to count........

Rush was the Aristotle of our time.

He understood political and social forces so well that he could predict the future. He predicted that Democrats would seek to eliminate elections. That was over-the-top at the time, but the epic fraud in 2020 shows the beginning of this.

“He has no kids.”

You mean he has no BIOLOGICAL OFFSPRING.

He has millions of Political Offspring.

And Political Siblings.

He knew he couldn’t take that money with it: It wasn’t about the money. It was about Honor.

I understand it’s a nebulous concept: Honor.

Some religions grossly abused/abuse that concept.

Some civilizations grossly abused/abuse that concept.

He believed in his word being his bond.

Simple enough for him to live by.

Simply enough for even someone life myself to understand.

Many vile and evil men/women have biological offspring: That in itself is nothing if his life was not honorable. The biological offspring carries upon its shoulder its own weight.

Well Rush Shot blanks so he couldn’t help not having his own family. He could have adopted, but that is a crap shoot as many people have found out.

I am being honest. Rush is gone and it's time we think about all that time that has gone by.

Rush was a libertarian pretending to be a conservative. Sorry but that is the truth.

We was a globalist, free trader, a Bushie, then a Cruzbot then he jumped on the last car of the Trump train leaving the station. Truth. MAGA did not come naturally to Rush.

If this makes me a troll so be it.

I am guilty too, I "wasted" 3 hours a day many a day....

IMO, the property is a tear down. People with that kind of money want exactly what they want, not what the previous owner wanted.
