Former British finance minister Rishi Sunak won the most votes in the second round of voting to succeed Boris Johnson as leader of the Conservative Party and prime minister, as one candidate was eliminated.

Sunak is unpopular with the Conservative party rank and file, and so has little chance of becoming PM. The next PM will be either Mourdant or Truss.
Why are they getting behind a female PM? Unless she’s Margaret Thatcher or Golda Meir, forget about it!
Just what England needs.....
Let’s just call it New India
The next PM will be their Deep State’s.
Sunak , in Thai, means dog .
I am sure all the Thais in U.K. are having a big laugh about this
Only a matter of time before Sadiq Khan becomes Labour Leader.
Then it’s India vs Pakistan
To be fair, we're no different here in the States. Obama is not even an African-American because his father was born in Kenya. Everyone freaked out when Donald Trump was asking for Obama's birth certificate. He wouldn't have done that if Jesse Jackson was the President instead.
Rishi Sunak
Hard to remember Great Britain anymore...
The DisUnited States is fast on the way to becoming the same kind of 3rd world, communist-controlled, clown fest...
“Let’s just call it New India”
How about New Islamabad?
i wonder if this uy is the English Bobby Jindal?
Woglandia
They can call him Prime Minister Maharishi Yogi.
That is the UK now. He’s Indian. Another candidate is African. One is of German and French ancestry. Another is related to early Labour Party politicians. I’m thinking Sunak won’t win, but if he has kids and the family manages to keep their billions, who knows?
LOL!!!
Who gets to vote? Conservative Party MPs?
MPs choose the top two, but then the party rank and file choose the winner, and the rank and file polls are very bad for Rishi Sunak. Penny Mourdant is the favorite, unless she fails to make the top two.
What makes you think Sunak is a Margaret Thatcher or Golda Meir? He could be another Neville Chamberlain.
Sunak or Mourdant or Truss? Seems like slim pickings out there.
I never heard of either Truss or Mourdant.
I believe Sunak is a smart guy financially.
