Pope derides Biden's abortion views, Catholic self-identity as 'incoherence'

Pope Francis questioned President Biden's conscience on Tuesday in an interview during which he described the commander-in-chief's religious identity and views on abortion as incoherent.

"A month after conception, the DNA of the fetus is already there and the organs are aligned. There is human life," the pontiff said in the interview with Spanish-language outlet Univision.

Asked about Biden — a self-professed "devout Catholic" who supports blanket legalization of abortion on the federal level — the pope dismissed the president as incomprehensible.

While the article accurately describes that the bishops have authority in their diocese, Frankie is sort of passing the buck.

This is the same question and answer that was reported the other day but the point of view and understanding of the conversation is 180 degrees in the opposite direction. The other day the Pope said in the same Q & A basically it was up to Biden conscience and his pastor. Basically, Pope Francis said its not his job.

It's not. One difference is that in Pelosi's diocese, she was publicly urged to mend her ways prior to being denied communion.

This pope constantly sends contrary messages. One week, Pelosi receives communion at the Vatican despite being banned from doing so in her own diocese, the next week the pope is criticizing Biden’s views on abortion.
