CPI excludes energy and food. PPI includes.
Good grief, what a mess!
Some highlights:
Most of the broad-based
increase in June can be traced to a 9.9-percent rise in prices for processed energy goods.
Product detail: Forty percent of the June increase in the index for processed goods for intermediate
demand can be attributed to a 13.9-percent rise in prices for diesel fuel.
Product detail: Nearly 60 percent of the June increase in prices for unprocessed goods for intermediate demand can be traced to the index for natural gas, which jumped 24.3 percent.
3% results from January 6.
3% results from Republican obstruction.
3% results from Putin.
The remaining 2.3% results from Trump.
I’m getting really concerned about water - hasn’t rained here in NE PA for about 2 weeks, not much in the forecast. Everything’s bone dry.
Not good for farms, wild animals, etc.
Going to start to restock my own personal water stash, but it takes up a lot of space.
That means cpi will continue up.
What a joke. Everyone knows it’s WAY higher. According to my online Walmart account, grocery prices have spiked more than 40%. Just a few examples comparing last July to today: Boneless chicken breasts $1.98 lb. to $3.22.
Lettuce $1.18 to $1.68
Chunky soup $1.52 to $2.23
50 lb. dog food $20.48 to $26.48
Gallon milk $2.65 to $3.44
Dozen eggs $.92 to $1.77
And prices never go down. They may eventually flatten where they rise to but they never go down. Fuel, maybe, but not until these morons are gone and then it will take a long time to get production back up. A very long time, like years.
President Retard did that 🤪
