They’re both good candidates. Let’s not allow Newsweek to divide us.
I’d have to really know more about Ron’s ideas on international affairs before giving him my vote. I liked what I read about him in terms of dealing with local issues in Florida but if he’s another Neocon he won’t get my vote.
Florida general election, 2018 Party Candidate Votes % Republican Ron DeSantis 4,076,186 49.59 Democratic Andrew Gillum 4,043,723 49.19
A stolen "election" in Florida in 2022 would remove DeSantis from the national chessboard.
We've done well to move the elections directors from Broward and Palm Beach down the road - but there's a whole lot of rigging going on elsewhere in Florida.
“Difference is, Cruz is a phony.”
All you have said about Cruz is true. Agreed. My point is, that Desantis doesn’t stand a chance against President Trump in an actual primary election cycle.
President Trump’s base will not abandon the man for Desantis. In fact, most will look at a Primary Challenge as an affront. It would destroy any goodwill he has with President Trump’s base. And, as a reminder President Trump’s base in NOT just Hardcore Conservatives. The man has a considerable following among non-traditional Republican voters as well.
DeSantis is not going to run if Trump runs. He’s smart and can do math. Trump 2024 to 2028. DeSantis 2028 to 2032. 4 + 8 is 12 and 12 is better than either 4 or 8.
I think you all had better keep your eye on this mid term first. That is if we have a mid term election that is legal.
Plenty of time to get into POTUS politics after.

Wow they’re really trying to create a fight where there is no fight.
DeSantis unequivocally said he won’t run if Trump runs.
Newsweek trying to start a fight.
Good!
Came very close to losing it in 2018.
That was for an open race with no incumbent. It's quite different when a popular incumbent is running for reelection.
As Florida goes, so does the country.
I can’t do a ted cruz redux campaign. Straight Trump nothing in the way!
“ The Deep State fear of President Trump is boundless”
I guess. But he hired all deep-staters.
“ DeSantis unequivocally said he won’t run if Trump runs.”
Do you have a link for that? I’ve never seen the statement. Can you provide it?
As I wrote before: A stolen "election" in Florida in 2022 would remove DeSantis from the national chessboard.
The Floridians will have to ride herd on their vote-rigging counties.
Florida 2020 general election Joey Diapers President Trump 2020 total 48% 5,297,045 51% 5,668,731 11,067,456
If you'll review my post #23, you'll see that 8 million turned out in 2018.
3 million is a WHOLE LOT of wiggle room for creating a Narrative and setting up the vote factories.
Look for the Florida Dems to create a Narrative to "Get Out The Cheat". It's what they do, working closely with their Media.
The current Florida Narratives on DeSantis are weak sauce.
Those are the only choices that a President DeSantis will get, too.
Deep staters were all that was available at the time and now fully exposed.
This.
No more neocons.
