Reagan entered primaries in three elections - 68, 76 and 80. Desantis has strong precedent for primarying Trump to keep him honest. After appointing so many deep staters, empowering Fauci, and failing to fulfill his promise to build the wall, Trump needs to have his feet held to the fire on the MAGA issues. No coronations
The Democrats are already positioning Gavin Newsom.
Then the country will face a choice of polar opposites. Do we want to be California or Florida?

Ron is the one for 2024. I think a younger man would be better suited to be President of the United States.
Trump doesn’t fold under pressure and he had worse than any other Republican I can think of. I like Ron well enough but I have no idea if he wouldn’t crumble under the media assault he will get if he ran for President.
If you think a governor can’t go straight to a successful presidency (without coolng his heels in the do-nothin job of VP), read up on a guy called Reagan.

DeSantis is welcome to run. But don’t give us that “he’s electable” jazz. That’s how the left inserts the candidates they want to see run. Their chosen one is “electable” while our proven champ is “extreme” or whatever.

I hope DeSantis does not take Vice President. It’s never a lead to president except twice in 50 years. Bush senior and Biden after a 4 year pause. DeSantis should continue as governor. Perhaps take Rick Scott senate seat (he’s going to be 70 this year) and then run for president.
