A new poll has found that Democrats and Republicans are neck and neck in the upcoming midterm elections, with Democrats citing gun violence as their number one concern even as the economy continues to tumble.
The Sienna College Research Institute poll, conducted on behalf of the New York Times between July 5 and 7 among 849 registered voters, found the race to control Congress is tight, with voters preferring Democrats to Republicans by just one percentage point, 41%-40%. Nineteen percent of respondents remain undecided.
However, among likely voters, the Times noted that 44% favored Republicans while 43% expressed support for Democrats in congressional races.

the fix is in.... there is the “tell”..... Fox News is littered by POSs
If 55 percent of blacks approve of Biden then you know it is over. They may not vote GOP, but they won’t turn out. Black men are shifting GOP as well.
Astute, you are.. :)
The Democrats may enjoy a short term bump due to Roe vs Wade ruling. But any votes they’ll gain from soccer moms and young millenials, the Republicans will just replace them with Hispanics.
“Republicans candidates need to be aggressive in campaigning based on solutions...”
I take it that you don’t think Republican candidates are not campaigning based on solutions. Have you ever in your life heard a candidate who campaigned and did not offer solutions. I mean some kind of solutions?
So, what Republicans are you familiar with who don’t offer solutions, which are reasons they are running?
Or do you feel good spouting democrat talking points.
And I take it you actually believe a New York Times poll, that great establishment of honesty and objectivity.
Free Republic is getting kooky. It’s gone all anti Trump.
There are 70 Black Republican House Republican candidates running. Good, let the Democrats becoming the party of the White and Upper Middle Class, and let us have the working and Middle Class of all races.
That isn't necessarily true. The bump works both ways. Hispanics vote 70%-30% D over R.
BS times 10
I think we can agree that the Dem Primary - and the Nov 2020 outcome - were entirely rigged.
I was wondering this week how deeply involved China was in that orchestrated Xiden primary "win."
Hope some investigative reporters (like at The National Pulse or Revolver News) will uncover the sordid treasonous events that happened there....
If Democrats are having a comeback, it could be because they have a lot of well-off suburban supporters who always vote. People who are really hurting under Biden may be too depressed and dispirited to bother.
They will be finished. And black men are fleeing the Dems too. They were rising under Trump.
All we can do is keep electing more MTG’s and Lauren Boeberts. The “majority” isn’t going to mean anything for a while, until the RINOs are systematically replaced.
For example, if there were just one RINO in the Seante and the rest of the GOPers were MAGA the MSM would prop up that one RINO as the voice and the party, the leader. That lone RINO will get all the shows and airtime. I hate when they do that but that is what they do.
It’s biden’s popularity that is carrying them to victory.
For example, if there were just one RINO in the Seante and the rest of the GOPers were MAGA the MSM would prop up that one RINO as the voice of the party, the defacto leader. That one RINO will get all the shows and airtime. I hate when they do that but that is what they do.
55 percent black support suggests that enthusiasm for Brandon is now even going down among BLACK WOMEN. There are not enough soccer moms to make up the enthusiasm gap.
It’s seemed to me for several elections that, when a November election is nearing, the polls show whatever is needed to encourage the Dims and discourage the Republicans.
Time to tamp down on all that talk about big Republican gains in November.
Good old Pravda...
Always out there doing its job...
Being associated with the NYT tells you everything you need to know about how accurate the poll is. Not!
