GENEVA (AP) — A cost-of-living crisis sparked in part by higher fuel and food prices is expected to hit women the hardest, the World Economic Forum reported Wednesday, pointing to a widening gender gap in the global labor force.
The Geneva-based think tank and event organizer, best known for hosting an annual gathering of elites in the Swiss Alpine town of Davos, says a hoped-for recovery from a ballooning gender gap hasn’t materialized as expected as the COVID-19 crisis has eased.
The forum estimates that it will now take 132 years — down from 136 — for the world to reach gender parity, which the organization defines around four main factors: salaries and economic opportunity, education, health, and political empowerment.
A breakdown by country gave top marks to Iceland, followed by several Nordic countries and New Zealand, as well as Rwanda, Nicaragua and Namibia. Germany, Europe’s biggest economy, came in 10th place in the report of 146 countries. Further down the list were the world’s biggest economies: the U.S. was at No. 27, China at No. 102 and Japan at No. 116.

Because higher prices dont effect men.
Genius level stupidity.
WOMEN AND MINORITIES HARDEST HIT!!!!
Got in before I could! LOL
Next week’s news: Prostate cancer hits women hardest.
Given their voting choices, they feel like they aren’t being hit hard enough. :)
But they'll still vote Rat.
So basically Biden’s, Pelosi’s and Schumer’s policies hit women hardest?
democrats want you to suffer, gals!
WEF...The nexus of evil.
These journalists don’t even realize the nation is laughing at their cliches.
Who was it that said “You get the government that you deserve”?
“You get the government that you deserve”
I always add “Good and Hard!”
I have an old friend from college. Was married to a perfectly good, handsome man who made a good living. Decided he “didn’t make her happy and he just wasn’t enough for her” and left him and broke up a beautiful family.
Instead of going back to school and advancing her education (she never finished the 4 year with me), she went on to do flingy types of jobs — travel agent, small home sales schemes, etc.
Still struggles financially. Has tried to date a string of men, but it never works out. Always harping about having no money. And she’s the biggest liberal Dem you’ve ever seen.
She’s a prime example of the type of women who are yanking this country down and who will suffer as a result the most. There truly is no help for them, and I refuse to feel sorry for them, at all. They made their bed. They made their choices, and it’s going to get very rough for them, especially as we see them age.
Are they trying to say, “biological females” hit the hardest? I really don’t know what a woman is anymore.
“...is expected to hit women the hardest”
What about the CHILDREN?!?!
Women vote for Democrats at a much higher percentage than they vote for Republicans.
I have two older RINO relatives who hated Trump, complained about him each time we spoke, but who grudgingly claim to have voted for him.
Imagine those women who are a half step or more worse, and all of those didn’t vote for Trump.
I have a close female relative who admits she would gladly give up her right to vote, if it meant the harmful stupid votes of the majority of women wouldn’t be able to happen.
Covert masochism is partly behind this acceptance and encouragement of policies that maintain the gender gap.
Those gals who vote Democrat Socialist really don’t want to see themselves as economic entities, only as emotional punching bags. Psychologically, the payoff is much better.
In other words, jobs where she thinks she has a chance to meet affluent men.
A number of women do this: spend their younger years dating exciting and interesting men(who will date her only if she provides no-strings sex), then settle for a "nice" guy who bores her. Then divorce him to try to resume her exciting younger days, only to discover she's older and less attractive now, and she can't get exciting men to date her any more.
Depression and cats follow.
