We have already looked at a few of the important top-line problems with Joe Biden's standing in the new New York Times/Sienna College poll. But here's one that seems to show up in a lot of polls lately: The youngest voters in this poll are also the sourest on Biden.
When asked whether they approve of how Biden is handling his job as president, a striking 69% of respondents aged 18-29 said they "somewhat" or "strongly disapprove." Only 1% (!) in that age group said they "strongly approve" of Biden's job performance, and he has a combined 19% approval rating with them.

I played the high/low guessing game with my 25 year old daughter yesterday. Her first guess was 12% strongly approve.
There’s something to this and a huge opening for MAGA Republicans to expand the base.

Impossible! This poll must be wrong. National Pedo Review has an article stating that dopey Joe would beat Trump hands down in a rematch.

My first thought, too. That uneducated generation thinks they hate capitalism even though it has brought them material wealth and a life of ease far beyond the dreams all previous men who lived.
Well, all we know is that they don’t like him, likely in part because of his age. But we also don’t know if they perceive him as too far to the left, or too far to the right. Lots of progressives believe he hasn’t been aggressive enough.
I am not seeing that from my daughter’s friends and those observations are over the long term. It seems they are just waking up and becoming politically active because their lives have been messed up because of COVID shutdowns when they were healthy. That has continued with the economy since Biden took office.
Yep, he caved to the Republicans and just didn't spend enough of other people's money, but wait the next guy will be the one..

I hope so. I do realize that my children choose friends from families of similar values. That might sway my perception. However, now that my kids are in their 20’s and gainfully employed they associate with a lot of different people. That includes a number of legal immigrants. I love meeting those friends. They are hardcore conservatives that work their asses off.
