Oh, So That's Why Virginia State Workers Are Fleeing Glenn Youngkin
townhall.com ^ | 7/10/2022 0640 hrs edt | Matt Vespa

Posted on 07/10/2022 9:47:21 AM PDT by rktman

On May 5, Youngkin updated the state’s telework policy for all state employees to begin working in-person full-time by July 5, a change the governor’s office stressed would provide “options for and supports the use of telework where appropriate.” Youngkin said it would help “balance the demands of government services with the needs of our public servants.”

If you feel like you can't work with a new governor, then you should leave. That’s what should have happened in DC under Donald Trump. Folks who say they serve the government no matter who is in charge picked sides all of a sudden post-2016. It caused a mess. People who do nothing but push paper started to help those within our institutions undermine the Trump administration’s ability to govern. People wonder why trust in government is at its lowest, especially among young voters—well, here you go.

Sadly in PDJT's case, too many stayed on merely to toss wrenches into the cogs every chance they could. And his folks he hired were less than stellar in a lot of instances.

Indeed. Trump’s hires were terrible and we were given numerous excuses that he was playing some “4 d chess” game by hiring John Bolton and the rest. It is what it is. Just dumb decision making.

Oh, and enjoy the gas prices if you have to commute.

getting rid of those who never come to work and still get pension or 401K benefits is a great strategy. You can’t fire government employees unless they give you a reason. Now he has a reason. But if he does not get control of the hiring process they will be replaced with all democrats. Democrats have taken charge of the hiring process in most of government. That is what Obama did. Virginia needs to hire from the south and west parts of the state.

I was always eager to hire on to a company where outside entities promised to destroy my life, my family and my future earnings power, weren't you?

BTW - the outside entities PROVED they could do it - and are still pursuing Trump's hires to this day.

DeSantis' turn in the barrel will be coming.

True. I think he and his people would vette the new hires in his Administration more carefully next time and hopefully start the process of removing all the Anti-American deep state operatives within the US government while putting up safeguards to prevent them or people like them from working in the US government again. I'm not sure the FBI or DOJ can be salvaged. They may need to be dissolved then possibly rebuilt with the same safeguards.

Also; who the heck leaked the Roe decision from SCOTUS? I know they know. They knew within hours. Maybe one of the corrupt deep stater's in one of the agencies assisted.

As far as the spoiled gov workers not wanting to go to work in person; let them learn to code or find other work. There are plenty of people who will do the job in person. Obviously the spoiled workers liked being able to do an 8 hour shift in under 2 hours then have the rest of the day for themselves while still getting paid for 8 hours.

Saw gas as “low” as $5.45 yesterday in Reno. 😕🙅

I remember Mark Levin railing repeatedly at the beginning of the administration that the political appointees all needed to be fired. It didn’t happen and the embedded ideologues worked day and night to undermine the administration

#2: Indeed. Trump's hires were terrible and we were given numerous excuses that he was playing some “4 d chess”

Good God, President Trump was way too trusting. And his boneheaded personnel choices were a disaster, starting with that colored girl game show contestant he hired. What a nutcase.

And ineffectual Jeff Sessions. And various military traitors. General Flynn was a good choice, but he was kneecapped from the git-go by Traitor Pence. President Trump deferring to Javanka and canning Steve Bannon was perhaps his gravest mistake.

Agree...that was a huge problem. I’ve often wondered how Trump felt about those back stabbers.

Just dumb decision making.

You know nothing hindsight geniuses are a dime a dozen here.

If someone told you it was 4d chess and you believed it...guess which one is the fool?

I love Steve Bannon but he is a total nutball. Great for talk radio, great for a rally, great for throwing out big ideas, but a terrible manager, terrible day to day decision maker. It was Bannon who invited Michael Wolff inside the White House to observer; predicable results with Wolff writing a terrible backstabbing book.

I remember Mark Levin railing repeatedly at the beginning of the administration that the political appointees all needed to be fired.

Senate Democrats, even when Republicans had the majority in 2017-18, would filibuster the confirmation process. There are THOUSANDS of political appointees.

Mitch should have nuked the filibuster. It's not like Republicans will filibuster Democrats anyway.

There are at least 4,000 political appointees in a president’s administration. Up to 1,500 require Senate confirmation.

No candidate can possibly vet that many people personally. The candidate who becomes president is in a kind of prison relying on a group of advisors and senators who ostensibly support him.

"...as “low” as $5.45 yesterday in Reno...."

What is it in Lake Tahoe?

Highest price I ever paid for gas was about 15 years ago in Tahoe.
Only bought enough to get me back down the mountain to Reno where the price was sane.

You really think Trump could hire from the Swamp and achieve draining the Swamp?

Ask yourself, who on Earth in the private sector would want to work in the Swamp cesspool that has built rules upon rules over decades for its own protection and interests?

Are you saying Trump did poorly because the Swamp wouldn’t let him be a DICTATOR?

Or are you saying Trump should have just gone ahead and broke laws to be a DICTATOR?

Some think and know correctly that Trump had little power to HIRE AND FIRE government workers. He had some power over Cabinet appointments, but even many of those were put on a menu for him to choose from.

Trump set Tariffs on China and made Nato countries pay their fair share.

Trump brought Judy Shelton into the Federal Reserve to steer it toward returning to the gold standard.

For these and other offenses, the Swamp and its allies in Davos and Beijing pulled off the greatest crime in US history and staged a Coup d’Etat..

But let’s blame Trump, shall we?

When Plandemic II returns in October, don’t forget to bow down to government and wear your masks like good little girls and boys.

Do what you’re told or you might just be branded a domestic enemy.

Lowest I see is $6.48/gal. Bridgeport Cali on US 395 is $7.39.
