Senate Minority Whip John Thune (R-SD) is joining Democrats, as well as the big business lobby, in asking President Joe Biden for more legal immigration to the United States to fill American jobs.
Even as the nation’s foreign-born population has hit record highs, Thune says the Biden administration is not importing enough H-2B foreign visa workers to fill blue-collar seasonal jobs in the U.S.

Aldi grocery store in my town can’t find workers at $16/hr to start. I have never before seen so many help wanted signs everywhere. News says there are 11 million jobs open and only 5.5 million unemployed.
Why do you think there are 5.5 million unemployed when there are so many jobs open?

Things have become so damned expensive I decided to get a part time job working a couple of days a week, starting pay $18.00 an hour and they can’t find workers GEEZE what the hell are these non working people doing to survive today?? I just don’t get it, how do you survive without a job?? Are THIS MANY people in our society getting government checks?? How are young healthy single people getting government assistance???

Now the Republicans are joining the Democrats to undermine the American worker.

The Democrats want a universal basic wage of about $45K for everyone -working or not. They are using stimulus and covid emergency funding to pay people not to work. They know that if they can keep the ball rolling for several years, they will have manufactured a permanent constituency of Democrat dependent voters who want to keep getting paid to stay home.
