The victims, just 17 and 14 years old, were butchered with a machete and pickaxe before being tossed into shallow graves; their killers sent video back to El Salvador in hopes of impressing gang bosses
Five foreign-born members of MS-13 have been convicted of murdering two teenage boys in the ultra-wealthy, deep blue DC suburbs of Fairfax County, Virginia. Gang members lured the boys to a park before restaining them, killing them, and chopping them up with a machete and pickaxe. They even recorded footage of the brutal murders on a cell phone camera so that videos could be sent back to El Salvador to impress MS-13 bosses, who they hoped would give them promotions within the gang.
The five members of MS-13, all of whom have El Salvador listed as their country of origin in prosecuting documents, were convicted of the suburban gang murders on July 1st and now face mandatory life terms in prison. Additionally, nine other MS-13 members have already pleaded guilty in the case and face the same punishment, and another three have been charged in the investigation that kicked off in 2016 when the murders took place.
Notably, the Department of Justice and local authorities in deep blue Fairfax County have not made information regarding the immigration statuses of the murderous MS-13 members readily available.
According to court records and a press release made by the Department of Justice, the MS-13 murderers “erroneously” believed one victim, who was just 17 years old, to be a member of the rival 18th Street gang. The other, even younger victim, who was only 14, was falsely labeled as a police informant.
In the DOJ release, the underaged victims are not named but referred to by the initials, E.E.E.M. (17-year-old) and S.A.A.T. (14-year-old) respectively.

More dysfunction is that the murders occurred in 2016, so it took 6 years for the conviction. How long would it have taken without the video?

“Justice delayed is justice denied” is a centuries-old legal maxim. In uncivilized countries today that maxim is totally ignored. So much for justice in the USA!
Pres Trump was right, they’re animals.
