I don’t see more conceal carry resulting from recent SCOTUS rulings helping reduce these numbers very much. Maybe, but I don’t see it.
Most of these are gang on gang shootings, initiations, retributions, revenge shootings.
Most of these shootings are sudden ambushes amounting to raids. They drive up, fire away, drive off. Or walk up and just assassinate someone.
Others are escalating arguments where one or both pulls a gun and a word fight becomes a gun fight.
The suddenness of most to these murders don’t lend themselves well to conceal carry like a store robbery or street robbery. In a robbery, the perp does not usually contact you with intent to shoot you, but has a gun in case you attack. Most of these gang on gangs are premeditates murderous intent, so they are already shooting before anybody knows what happens.
I am looking forward to CCW in Chicago, but I don’t think these numbers go down any when that happens.
I was off by quite a bit.

“I am looking forward to CCW in Chicago…”
It’s been legal for years.

I thought I'd seen yesterday there were 12 killed in Chicago as of Monday at @ 12:00pm and another 65+ shot. My memory bad, or did I read that?
The problem with conceal carry in chicago, which is legal if you jump through the hoops, is that there are so many gun free zones in the city that it not really worht going there. No carrying in parks, no carrying on public transit, no carrying in malls. I would think that most CCW holders are smarter than the average bear, that they simply don’t go there. I have had CCW most of my adult life and carry daily, but even with my life preserver, I won’t put myself in a potential situation and won’t go everywhere.
Sick. Sick. Sick. They need to be taken out!!
Damn, it’s good to be “black gangster”!
All victimhood and no responsibility.
Not my fault, nigga b!tch! I be innocent, Futher Mucker. It was that damn gun that jumped into my hand and forced me to squeeze the trigger, ‘cause black lives matter.
She it, beatch! You feeling me, negro?

Final Joyful Tally: 12 killed, 66 wounded.
I’m guessing 99%+ black on black?
They need less doctors. Chicago runs like MASH. Patch ‘em up and get ‘em back into the fight. If the doc took one ball each visit, this would end real quick.
See my reply #12.
And what of all the other weekend killings?!?! Black don’t matter?
I would not bet against that..
While all this was going on I saw that The good mayor was able to take her gun toting security detail out to a Cubs game. It’s good to be the king.
Chicago gangs in various neighborhoods are conducting an internecine war.
Put plain clothes ready teams in every neighborhood and the next time these gangs come out to shoot....mow them down.
Al Capone, Bugsy Moran and all of the other extortionist gangs were taken out by police and G-men. Why not now?
