Alexander Lukashenko said on Saturday that if Belarus were to come under “attack”, its army would respond immediately. The West has speculated over the level of involvement of Belarus in Russia’s ongoing “special military operation” in Ukraine since late February.
Lukashenko said his state stood fully behind Russia in its invasion as part of its commitment to a “union state” with Moscow.
But he has previously suggested his own armed forces will not themselves enter Ukraine, pointing to Minsk’s potential role of helping to create a peace deal instead.
The Belarusian President was, however, clear that his country would not tolerate attacks from Western countries.
He said: “Less than a month ago, I gave orders to the units of the armed forces to target what can now be called the decision-making centres in capitals…
“Don't touch us – and we won't touch you.”

LBJ and Nixon lost ~55k.
Putin has lost 35k+ troops in FOUR MONTHS! America's involvement in Vietnam lasted roughly a decade!
Regards,
No George S Patton would NOT come out in favor of Russia and against his own United States - ever.
And he was describing what he considered to be the inmutable characteristics and threats posed by Russians.
Therefore, his opinions WOULD apply today.
Because he knew the Russians are ignorant aggressive pigs.
The leader of Belarus is a pig.
You know absolutely crap about Patton because all you know is the silly movie.
If you ever read his book, War As I Knew It, you’d understand that he was an extremely technical minded general, constantly applying the latest battle statistics to understand how his army was faring.
He did not have an ounce of mysticism in how he conducted the war. Nor does his book mention anything like that whatsoever.
True and ping.
It was said that Patton had the ability at a glance to know the (logistical) carrying capacity of a road he was traveling. That’s a critical skill for a commander pushing mobile forces in the attack. If he had a flaw it was when his 3rd Army got tangled up in the Loraine after Ike took his fuel supplies away. Set piece battles were not his forte.
