Alexander Lukashenko said on Saturday that if Belarus were to come under “attack”, its army would respond immediately. The West has speculated over the level of involvement of Belarus in Russia’s ongoing “special military operation” in Ukraine since late February.
Lukashenko said his state stood fully behind Russia in its invasion as part of its commitment to a “union state” with Moscow.
But he has previously suggested his own armed forces will not themselves enter Ukraine, pointing to Minsk’s potential role of helping to create a peace deal instead.
The Belarusian President was, however, clear that his country would not tolerate attacks from Western countries.
He said: “Less than a month ago, I gave orders to the units of the armed forces to target what can now be called the decision-making centres in capitals…
“Don't touch us – and we won't touch you.”

That’s fine with me.
“With what troops?”
Russia has long had compulsory military service.
Most Russian adult males have gone through basic training I believe.
The Red Army had about 12 million troops in 1945.
General Patton hurt your feelings.
Russia is a demographic basket case . Their birth rate is among the lowest in the world. Their abortion rate is the highest in the world. According to their own FSB, nearly 4 million people left the country in Q1. And 23 million have left the country since 2019. They can compel service all they want, but if the military age folk won’t stick around, well.....
Meanwhile, here's what you support:
The Vietnam War lasted approx. 10 years.
Keep posting that General Patton graphic. This says it all. And good and happy July 4th to you and yours.
This is why Great Britian and Russia have always been at odds and at war. Such as the Crimea. The Great Britain elites knew what an Asiatic Mongolian scam the USSR was and is.
: )
The few ground combat brigades the US Army has left in Europe could not hold very much frontage... and they are pretty spread out. The opening phase of a Nato ground war with Russia would probably look like that of the Korean War. Of course the Russian logistics would collapse pretty quickly, and after that you’d have something similar to Ukraine. A lot would depend on how well the USAF would hold up against Russia’s air defenses.
Yeah. We must be absolutely terrifying to them.
Patton's views were not woke enough in 1945...today he would have been thrown out of West Point.
Belarus in the process of becoming a direct part of Russia - so any attack on Belarus is an attack on Russia
Patton was also a believer in reincarnation and thought he fought in the Punic Wars and in Roman era forces.
He was good for some things, an idiot in others.
This is the exact same policy Israel has, e.g., if Tel Aviv attacked (WMD) the nation and those enabling that nation will have their capitals attacked. For instance, if Iran dropped a nuke on Tel Aviv, Israel may well hit the capitals of Germany, France, Italy and now the USA for providing both materiel and political support directly related to the event.
Flattened?!
Does Belarus have nuclear-tipped missiles?
Belarus does not possess the military capability to significantly strike Berlin, Brussels, and London.
And why would Berlin AND Bonn intend on attacking Belarus?!
Regards,
Patton also thought he was in the Battle of Carthage...the 146 BC Battle of Carthage. He was a mystic.
In an attack, he was fantastic. But he wasn’t a holy oracle.
Had he survived, he was headed to retirement...
Try to keep up.
They probably left Frankfurt, the financial capitol, off the list, but I would imagine it’s there. Along with Munich... for sentimental reasons of course.
“And why would Berlin AND Bonn intend on attacking Belarus?!”
He said it, not me. And you Heinies have been sending weaponry to kill Russians, waging economic war against Russia as well. Belarus is a close ally of Russia. It is reasonable for them to warn you guys before you get more aggressive.
Now that term old term for Germans, “blockhead”, is starting to make more sense...
