WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The 38% of U.S. adults who say they are "extremely proud" to be American is the lowest in Gallup's trend, which began in 2001. Still, together with the 27% who are "very proud," 65% of U.S. adults express pride in the nation. Another 22% say they are "moderately proud," while 9% are "only a little" and 4% "not at all" proud.
This record-low level of extreme national pride comes at a challenging time in the U.S. as a pandemic-weary public is struggling with the highest U.S. inflation rate in more than four decades. These data are from a June 1-20 poll that was conducted after mass shootings in Buffalo, New York, and Uvalde, Texas, claimed 31 lives, including 19 children. Bipartisan gun legislation in response to the shootings was passed shortly after the poll ended. The polling also preceded the U.S. Supreme Court's highly anticipated and controversial ruling overturning Roe v. Wade.

Great to be part of the 38%
I’m proud to be American. I’m not very proud of the folks in government, media, “education”, nor of most of the two legged sheep walking around on the North American continent.
This is what comes of public school teachers and university profs telling their students what a lousy country they have. This is what comes of glamorizing “celebrities” as they rant hate for this country while surrounded by luxury. This is what comes from giving a PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM to a perverted purple haired skank who daily shouts her hatred and disdain for the country men and women died to protect. It’s become fashionable to denigrate this country which has given so much to so many. Sure, we’re not perfect. Sure, we’ve made mistakes. But name me one entity which is perfect, save G-d, and I’ll question your claim. Don’t like it here? Then leave!
This is, for once, not Biden’s fault. It is the fault of the liberal media that constantly bashes America. If a traditional American institution is 99% good and 1% bad, they will focus entirely on the bad.
Consider the Founders, for instance. They were wise and very brave people. But you won’t hear any of that today. All you’ll hear is that some of them were slave owners. And women were excluded. And blah, blah, blah.
No wonder patriotism is at an all-time low.

I can’t be “extremely proud” of people who hate black Supreme Court justices just because he doesn’t like them claiming that God and the Founding Fathers gave them the Constitutional right to murder innocent infants.
Disagree- its as much the fault of zhao biden- the surrender in Afghanistan, shutting down oil production which is causing gas prices to double, putting Americans last.
Most of my MAGA friends and relatives did not celebrate Independence Day this year.
Just a quiet day off to relax at home. Hopefully we all fly our flags and celebrate in January 2025.

You know, the bass turd “refugees” who were too cowardly to raise hell with the clowns running their home country so they ILLEGALLY broke into America and decided they, with their infinite wisdom, are going to tell US how to live. Cowardly illegal “immigrants” can kiss my Red, White and Blue ass. They all need to get the hell out of my country. I don’t care if they are ANCHOR BABIES who were born here or not. They don’t have what it takes to be an American.

It’s a chicken/egg thing.
Which came first. The wretched, depraved politicians or the wretched, depraved population.
Im proud of our history, but proud is not a word I can use for the present. We got here because the proud didnt take a stroner stand sooner.
I’m not. Not anymore.

I don’t see a thing to be proud of in this nation.
So 87 % are moderately to extremely proud of being American.
