President Donald Trump could be planning to make an unusually early announcement of his plans to run for president, but not all Republicans are convinced it would be the right move for the party.
Trump has long teased a 2024 White House run and has continued to hold campaign-style rallies, all while stopping short of saying definitively if he plans to enter the race. However, recent revelations from the House Select committee's hearings on the January 6 insurrection are impacting his plans, according to a report from The New York Times.
Now, Trump is considering announcing a run far earlier than expected, possibly even this month, in part as an attempt to distract from the hearings, the outlet reported.

SCOTUS ruled election laws are up to the state legislators. They are the ones to clean up 2020 and stop future fraud, not the POTUS.

I don’t really think the dems can make any headway on the economy now, it’s in free fall. What are they going to do? 2 choices: More of the same, or do like Trump/Republicans want.
Maybe, maybe, if they didn’t have all of congress and POTUS while the crash was happening, they could. But as we’ve seen all they can do now is deflect to racism, homo rights, and other social stuff.

The past has to be corrected. In effect we had a coup de etat in 2020 which means our government is a captured operation. The election system at this point is controlled by a foreign force. In what alternate dimension do you think you are going to vote again in a fair election? They aren’t going to let your candidates win.
Election laws were in place in November 2020. What good did they do? You don’t seem to understand the concept of stolen elections. Its an overthrow of the legitimate government. That’s where we are. We don’t have a legitimate government anymore. Another election won’t fix that.

You actually believe that when Trump attacks the committee and calls it a sham, that it is giving the committee credibility? I don’t want to even know how you think.
And McCarthy needs to be attacked for not putting more people on the Jan 6 committee.

Agree that the mess - process - etc. of 2020 needs to be cleaned up.
But Trump won’t be re-instated.
Trump if he decides to run for the 2024 President election he needs
to be focusing on that process and getting things in line for the
campaign. Continuing to complain, bitch and moan isn’t helping
him one bit with the others outside of die hard Trump supporters.
And he needs all votes he could get.

How can something distract from an event that isn’t drawing any attention to begin with? Fake news from Business Insider as usual.
If he waits until after the primaries and we win back the house and senate, his momentum will trounce Biden or whoever they run against him, voter fraud or not.
They seem to be using a similar playbook as when the ‘pee’ dossier was released to the media. That the dossier was released began the tale.
Then, media would bring it into the public based on it being released, without regard for the actual fantasy tale it contained.
Keep in mind that these are the folk who believe the seriousness of charges outweigh the veracity of the allegations.

McCarthy tried to put Jordon and others on the Jan 6 Committee as Trump requested. Pelosi did not allow it.
Attacking McCarthy now is sour grapes. You are ill-informed and a childish name-caller.
