Onward to Kiev!
———-
Vlad doesn’t want Kiev

I agree with you, but found this part of the article from the CEO of the company that is training/equipping Ukrainian forces very interesting. Apparently they are somewhat concerned.

“The Russian army now occupies an area comprising one-fifth of Ukraine’s total land mass—far more than it did at the outset of the war. President Vladimir Putin’s overall objective remains opaque. The low threshold for declaring victory is likely to be annexation of the entire Donbas region, a goal that Putin has almost accomplished, but with a recent resurgence in Russian confidence, that may not be enough to satisfy him.

Credible reports from Meduza, a Russian-language news site based in Latvia, indicate that Kyiv is back in the crosshairs and that there is now renewed support within the Kremlin for another onslaught on the capital. And there are reports of renewed military activity on the Russian side of the border to the north, the most likely origin of an assault on the capital. Our contacts with the Ukrainian military intelligence directorate tell us that Russian reconnaissance troops and private military contractors have been spotted on the Ukrainian side of the border. These may be indications of another attack on the capital, but a ground attack still appears unlikely. Taking Kyiv would involve a massive effort—probably more resources than Russia has at hand without resorting to general mobilization. But Putin has other options.

An advance to within artillery range would be sufficient to inflict severe punishment on the city, especially if combined with a determined effort to undermine Kyiv’s air defense system. “I have advised my wife that it is not safe to return to Kyiv,” one senior officer told me the other day. While those in the know are worried about this prospect, it’s hard to see any reflection of concern in the city itself. Every day, packed trains and buses return more of the population to their homes, and the capital is again a bustling city, with no resemblance to the ghost town it became in the early days of the war. Sirens still wail throughout the day but are universally ignored. Ironically, the impressive performance to date by Ukraine’s air defense system may have lulled the population into a false sense of security. But every air defense system, no matter how modern, is susceptible to a determined and well-planned effort to penetrate it, and Ukraine’s outdated S-300 is no exception.”

With significantly greater than 10/1 advantage, and mass arsenal production, and the worlds largest stockpiles of WMD’s, it’s a bit surprising the RUbe invasion hasn’t taken all of Ukraine already -

Of course the longer the RUbe attack continues, the more profit Putin brings to the energy and RUbe military industrial complex...

The RUbes aren’t going away.

It will be God who overwhelmingly takes them out.

Excellent Rybar video of where Ukrainians and Russians are heading to for the next battle.

I had posted this earlier from a Telegram link, but for those who don’t have Telegram here is the video on Twitter so it is accessible to all.

I definitely recommend watching...it is very short, but gives you a clear idea of what is next in this “special military operation.”

I believe Putin’s objective is not just territorial but also to neutralize the CIA/Ukrainian in-country forces so they no longer represent a threat.
That may be why there are these repeated “temporary” occupations of positions which the Russians later abandon, only to retake later. Because the military objective is not the position per se, but rather the CIA/Ukrainian forces defending the position.

How thoroughly he plans to wipe out the forces is the question. Maybe he intends to keep at it until the CIA cries uncle, or until he simply wins.

Whatever territory he takes (beyond the Russian-friendly areas he intends to keep no matter what) he can keep until the CIA agrees to maintaining those areas as DMZ henceforth.

This war had to happen at some point because CIA activities in Ukraine, on the Russian border, became more than Putin could bear. When Zelensky and Biden started talking up getting Ukraine into NATO officially, that was Putin’s last straw. My point is, this had to happen in this general time frame and it is VERY good that it’s Biden taking the damage from it.

While I’m at it, it’s also VERY good that these last few SCOTUS decisions came while Trump was not holding office. If he was still in, he would be in the midst of a political storm and nearly paralyzed in his ability to function as POTUS. It is FAR better to get the SCOTUS Roe angst, stupid European war and whatever the hell else is about to show up, disposed of while the Cadaver In Chief is supposedly in charge.

I believe there’s a gunfight scene where John Wick grabs an adversary and uses him as a human ballistic shield/bullet absorber until the guy shooting has to reload, then Wick drops the ventilated body and continues his killing spree.

How fitting and economical of Trump to use a worthless human husk to absorb so much ammo that the adversary can’t get back.

Waiting for the body drop.

I know one guy who isn’t happy about the current situation.

Jack Keane, another warmongering prick. Fox News is loaded with them.

Any news on Ukraine’s use of the UK-supplied M270 systems yet??

They hold twice the rockets as HIMARS. I’d like to see the results of that.

Lets bookmark this brilliant analysis of how Russia needs Snake Island to capture ( demilitarize/control) Odessa

You do realize the Russians control Snake Island with air cover and missiles?
Why put 25 men there?
Lets see the Ukes try.

By your peculiar logic the Russians now control Kyiv with air cover and missiles and the Ukrainians similarly control Dombass. Sorry, no sale.

Clearly Russia has given up on capturing Odessa, and if they lose Kherson they lose the war. As Yogi Berra said, it ain’t over till it’s over.

And why any sane person would root for the mass murderer Putin to succeed is beyond my understanding.

“Is this a ploy to get more money for the bottomless money pit?”

I saw this post and was going to crosslink to what I (mistakenly) recalled was a FR post about Ukrainian politicians/ministers buying million-dollar homes/properties in the Baltic.

Just one problem:

The story has been scrubbed from the internet. If it was posted to FR (I can’t recall for sure and can’t locate in cache or history), it’s vanished.

Doesn’t exist. Even if it was a hoax story, it wouldn’t have been scrubbed. It would come up in one of the search engines. I looked for 3 hours, in ALL search engines. I may not have clicked on the story (just read the headline and summary), but I’m a Boolean Jedi: I tried EVERYTHING. It’s just GONE.

I wonder why a story about Ukrainians spending millions on properties out of country would be deleted from the internet (and who has that sort of control). /s

I thought I was crazy for awhile. THANKS! If the story has any merit, it certainly raises about a thousand questions. I wonder why he requested it get pulled.

Incidentally, turns out that WaybackMachine.org is archiving FR more regularly than in past years:
