Howdy, luvie.

Having a good weekend so far?

It’s been ok here. Just too hot. BUT we just had some rain a little while ago. Not nearly enough but some is better than none at all.

And it was enough for shooting fireworks. Once it stopped, I hear thumps outside and when I stepped out, the whole county was exploding. Fireworks going off everywhere. I added to the ruckus, shooting off the fireworks I bought the other day. LOL

Hey there, radu!

The weekend has been great. Not any different from the others, but still great. I haven’t heard that many fireworks here, yet, but I’d nearly bet there is a ban because of our lack of rain. Plus it’s too hot to get out and do anything. Bah!

Wonderful that it rained enough so you and all your neighbors could have some fun with YOUR fireworks! Did the kitties go nuts? LOL! Did you save some for the actual 4th celebration? Hope you get more rain for that!

Glad to hear your weekend’s been a good one. Too bad it’s so dry there and people can’t shoot fireworks. There are bans in areas around TN, too, though not here. Hubby and his buddies went to watch the Winchester fireworks but the storm hit before they started. The guys left and the rain stopped right after Hubby got home.
A lot of the ruckus was Winchester’s fireworks show and we could see a lot of it from here, even over the corn. A lot of people around here have parties and shoot fireworks, too, and they’d all started setting theirs off. They were ready to go even if the rain hadn’t moved through.
I wouldn’t have set mine off if it hadn’t rained. It’s so brown and dry at the farm.
No, I didn’t save any for the 4th. We might not get any more rain between now and then.

The kitties weren’t happy, that’s for sure. None went into hiding but they didn’t have happy faces when I came back inside. They’ve gotten pretty used to it over the years.

I hope you got enough rain to help that corn perk up a little bit. And hope a bit more is on the way. Is it from the ST off the coast of the Carolinas? That was sort of a surprise popup for sure.

I’ll be finishing this show and heading out. Darn, I hate to give up so early, but I’ll be glad I did when that alarm bongs in the morning. LOL! See ya tomorrow night.

Momma1 has the blue and white stripes on her wings.

WOOHOO for rain!! Is it still raining? I bet the corn is really reaching for drops as it falls. Is it enough for them to stand up again and be refreshed?

We only got .17 of an inch. Hardly enough to do much good since we only got 1.5 inch for the entire month of June. Last year, we got 6 inches in June. We’re WAY behind.
At least it rained at night when the sun and 90+ degrees won’t evaporate it quickly. The leaves have time to absorb the moisture into their leaves. Every bit counts.

No, this rain isn’t from the storm on the east coast. That rain is well out over the ocean. We’re just in a period of scattered showers and one happened to scatter over us before it got dark. Then what showers and storms there were started petering out.
We have at least another week of this with highs in the mid to upper 90s. With luck, we’ll get some more rain.

Get some good sleep so you don’t trash your alarm in the morning. :-)

I didn’t notice the blue so much but did notice one had a strip of white on the wing. It’s still hard to believe the babies aren’t babies any more and are about the same size as she is.

No, the rain stopped not too long after it started. We didn’t get much but at least we got something. The leaves on the corn are all standing straight up, which they do when the corn’s stressed for water. This wasn’t enough rain to make the leaves relax and droop again. We need a lot more.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

I hope you and Gizmo are having a good weekend. Did you have a large crowd at the lake to navigate?

Please pray for our nation and American patriots to defeat the enemies within on this July 4th weekend. I have no doubt there are American patriots fighting the enemies within aka traitors 24/7 as they have since 1776.

I wanted to share this special video with everyone. Enjoy watching it with pride and thanks for the US military, past, present, & future.
