The EU has now dropped the blockade and the transport of goods between Kaliningrad and Russia will resume. The EU decision was made before the NATO meeting in Madrid concluded; however, it looks like NATO postponed the announcement until after Biden left in order to save face on the reversal of position.

More importantly, did Biden get his diaper changed before leaving?

Couldn’t Russia ship the stuff thru the Baltics? It wasn’t a military
blockade.

There was no reason to block it anyway even if you disagree with Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine.

Remember, there are dozens of neocons on this site that support Biden’s anti American position because they hate Americans as much as they hate Russians.

It appears the Europeans are again, slowly, putting daylight between themselves and the US.

The strong do what they will, the weak suffer what they must.

Go look that quote up.

The EU caved to your masters, but Lithuania has not.

What was the point of stopping trade to begin with?

Smart move by a non-functional EU. Poking the bear has consequences. Just ask Zelensky the clown.

Can you imagine paying big bucks to join this NATO thing and actually thinking that “committee” can actually protect you?

NATO is just the military arm of the Globalists now.
The US should withdraw from it immediately.

I’m thinking the plan didn’t work. The plan was to get Russia to respond militarily and then say: “See Putin is trying to take over the world!!!”.

Why else would the EU do a 180 from supporting the blockade (initially), if not being the instigators, to now opposing the blockade?

As it is, the Neocons still have their blockade against Svalbard Island (also in violation of longstanding treaties and agreements, in this case right through the Cold War), in Northern Norway, so maybe they’ll have better luck there getting WW3 started and being able to say (at the same time): “See Putin is trying to take over the world!!!”

“The EU caved to your masters, but Lithuania has not.”

Lithuania better cave, since the EU, whether they understand it or not, just gave Russia the green light to take care of the situation.

“What was the point of stopping trade to begin with?”

See Post 12, but in this case it wasn’t even stopping trade - it was stopping the flow of goods from one part of Russia to another part of Russia, in violation of treaties signed at the end of the Cold War.

It appears the Europeans are again, slowly, putting daylight between themselves and the US.

Common sense, for once, prevails in the EU. The U.S. State Department was able to convince Lithuania to establish a land blockade between Russia and Kaliningrad, but even the EU saw that risking a war with Russia over a small strip of land in Lithuania was insane.

Haven’t read in to this much but the full Russia blockade is being run through the US/EU. All Russia had to do was wait until the EU was desperate enough because they’re not getting anything anywhere else. Remember when Trump gave them hell? Still applies. Russia owns the EU. They can scream all they want but they’ll still but Russian energy and goods.

Putin has won this. He controls a region responsible for 80% of Use GDP. Time for the Ukes to negotiate a settlement and quit sending their men to the slaughter.
