Crappy City police and county sheriff’s office, maybe? So why not have a crappy school district police department as well.
It actually makes a little sense where I live, as the school district encompasses parts of 3 cities and two smaller towns. While the city where I live is split among 3 or 4 school districts.
Lines in Texas do get messy at times, and the school district can have a bigger impact on your house value than does the city.
Throw him in jail as an accomplice. Same with all of the law enforcement that stood by and even stopped people from helping the kids.
Ajnin - I’m over 90 years old and have been a conservative all my life. From my day conservatives were not anti-government but anti big, central, domineering government. We believe the Constitution was written to protect the people from the such oppression. Government is best when close to the people. And when it is people like you and me can play a role in making it sound and honest.If local government is crooked it our fault. Most governing should be at the state and municipal level. Good government is possible but not when it is far away in WDC influenced and controlled by special interests and left wing ideologies.

I really thought some of the people would kill themselves. But, they won’t even resign. This guy is only resigning from the elected position.
I hope they are tried, and found guilty of dereliction of duty and jailed. Esp. this man and maybe a few others. Maybe all of them, but I can’t say that with the little knowledge I have.
All I know is there seems to be NO accountability anymore for anything. Screw up, do crime, whatever, and NOTHING happens.
