An 89-year-old woman was sucker-punched in the face by a man as she walked on an Upper Manhattan street this week, police said.
The NYPD released images Friday of the suspect in Monday’s assault in Washington Heights.
Police said the victim was walking with her family on W. 161st Street, near Broadway, around 4:30 p.m. when the man came up and slugged her in the face.
The victim suffered an injury to her right eye and cheek. She refused medical attention, according to police.
The assailant was last seen fleeing eastbound on W. 161st Street. Police believe he’s between 20 and 30 years old.

Refusing medical attention might hurt victims’ lawsuits later.
But I understand hundreds or thousands of dollars of hospital and medical staff fees are ALL to be paid by the groaning and suffering victim. Society doesn’t pay-—the victim pays.
Long ago I read an article about services that train future crime victims. Picture was of people on metal folding chairs with a trainer telling them: Everyone has a brave front reflex to blurt out “I’m okay. I’m fine. I don’t need to go to the hospital.” BUT the chintzy defense lawyers will smirkingly say about you later “Oh? My client hurt you so badly? How come you said I’m okay. I’m fine, I don’t need to go the hospital?”
He said NEVER say that after a car accident or a mugging, etc.
Gee....I wonder why the headline reads “Man...” and not “Black Man...” Why is that?

In the 70’s someone who beat up an elderly person, much less an elderly woman would collect something called street justice for their trouble.
