No matter which vehicle he got into, there’s no way that Trump’s girth would’ve allowed him to do anything more than tap the driver’s shoulder with or without a barrier. Barriers can be adjusted to be open or closed, but they are indeed an additional space-occupying item along the entire back of the front seat.
Additionally, why would anyone try to grab a steering wheel from the back seat? Trump doesn’t want to die, and he doesn’t want to kill his people or anyone out on the road and sidewalks.
