10 out of 10 ...
Glad you made it home safe and sound. I know it was hard to leave the kids but at least you got to see them for a few days.
Now you’re probably being accosted by Peaches and Ginger, fussing at you for leaving them alone. LOL
Rain is closer to you than it is to us this evening. AccuWeather seems to think you’ll get a little shower shortly.
There’s a remote chance for a shower or two here tomorrow with better chances, though not great, Thursday and on. We’re begging for some! Not only do the plants desperately need it but they’re also talking about banning fireworks for the 4th if there isn’t significant rainfall between now and then. I bought a nice little assortment of fireworks yesterday to shoot off here at the house.
“Old Man” written and performed by Neil Young, is a very good song. Done early in his solo career. Voice and acoustic guitar with lots of overlays for harmony and body.
It’s the kind of song I used to describe as ‘deep’.
“Old Man, look at my life.
I’m a lot like you were.
I need someone to love me the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes
And you can tell that’s true.
Hi Luv
Sez here this week that I pitched a perfect game. 10/10.
Hmmmm.....well, you DO exaggerate a bit since I’ve only BEEN here for nearly 18 years. I guess it just feels like 3 decades. LOL! But who’s counting when you’re having fun. Right? :D
Great score!! WooHoo!
You win the pennant!!
Sounds sad. I’ll have to find it in YouTube.
Missed Man In the mirror.
Well, it hasn’t sprinkled a drop yet, but the temperature sure is nice. When we went through the rain near Eastland...it was a gullywasher!...it got down to 73 degrees. Felt soooo good!
I do miss them already, but we will go again and again as long as they live this “close”. It was a pleasant drive except, of course, for a couple of human turtles on the road. LOL!
Thanks for joining us for the quiz! Good score.
They showed some rain moving over you in the projection segment of their radar animation earlier. It’s changed now but it could change again. Ya never know. Maybe you’ll get lucky.
It’s pretty nice outside tonight. I sat on the patio for a few minutes listening to the katydids that just woke up tonight. WOOHOO! They’re early this year. They usually don’t wake up and start chattering until the 4th or shortly after.
It’s nice that they moved closer so you don’t have to wait a year between visits. It’s a bit of a drive but it’s quite doable. Just have to deal with those occasional human turtles. LOL
I saw that it seemed pretty close on radar, but you know how that goes. I have my fingers crossed that y’all will get rain in the next few days. I feel so bad for your farmers!
I know too well how that goes. LOL Happened to us just the other day.
Rain can’t come soon enough. I imagine all the farmers around here are in a blue funk these days.
Well, I don’t blame them. They worked so darn hard and everything was looking wonderful, then the spigot was turned off. It’s a real bummer.
9 of 10. I knew I would get “Man in the mirror” wrong.
Well, ya sure did good anyhow! :)
The spigot’s been pretty stingy since April. Short periods with rain and long stretches between. This last one’s been bad since it was also so darn hot.
I hate going anywhere because I drive past fields wherever I go.
WOOHOO!! Glad you got some rain!
