The foreign ministers of Turkey, Sweden and Finland have signed a memorandum for the two Nordic states to join NATO, removing a Turkish block to the accession process.

It comes after the leaders of the three nations spoke at a NATO summit in Madrid.

A statement from the president of Finland, Sauli Niinisto, said: "We had a thorough meeting with president of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and prime minister of Sweden Magdalena Andersson, facilitated by secretary general of NATO Jens Stoltenberg.

"As a result of that meeting, our foreign ministers signed a trilateral memorandum which confirms that Turkey will at the Madrid summit this week support the invitation of Finland and Sweden to become members of NATO."

Mr Stoltenberg confirmed the the agreement, saying the memorandum addressed Turkey's concerns, including around arms exports and terrorism.

The Nordic states' attempt to join the alliance hit a stumbling block when Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said they supported Kurdish militants.

The statement from Finland said: "Our joint memorandum underscores the commitment of Finland, Sweden and Turkey to extend their full support against threats to each other's security. Us becoming NATO allies will further strengthen this commitment.

Is Turkey still feeling butt-hurt over the Russo-Turkish wars?

Sure NATO is stronger but the whole purpose of NATO was to prevent war with Russia, or was it?

According to a former US general, he “felt” Turkey was negotiating for several military items denied them because they bought a Russia air defense system. (The Russians have no problem kicking back some cash to make a sale.)

Turks are crafty negotiators. And they know Putin’s days are numbered.

The Baltic Sea is now a NATO lake. All part of Czar Putler’s plan. No doubt.

Trump pulls troops out of Syria and he is throwing the Kurds under the bus. Declaring them as terrorist is on the up and up.

“the whole purpose of NATO was to prevent war with Russia, or was it?”

Yes, and you don’t prevent wars with an aggressor like Russia by appeasing them.

“...Is Turkey still feeling butt-hurt over the Russo-Turkish wars?...”

Sultan Erdogan is ALSO pissed that Russia stepped in and put a stop to things a few months back, before Azerbaijan had a chance to COMPLETELY curb-stomp the Armenians.

The agreement is posted on twitter. The poster paraphrased the concessions:

• Sweden/Finland will lift its arms embargo

• Both will support Turkey on PKK, stop support to YPG

• They will amend their laws on terrorism

• They will share Intel with each other

• They will extradite terror suspects

• Finland and Sweden will support Turkey’s participation to EU’s Pesko

• Turkey, Finland and Sweden will establish a permanent joint mechanism to consult on justice, security and intelligence

Now that is done, the war will be over quickly, Putin will have his win to crow about for local consumption and the EU will have a sence russia is back on a back foot.

Russia has a previously undefended and wide open boarder to defend, with actual trained professional solider class on the other side, and not just cousin Sergey. That is going to hurt in Year over Year costs.

This is why a war with Ukraine was always the dumb, it screeches russian air defences across areas where NATO can go deep and cause major issues if something get spicy to the south.

What did they promise Turkey in return?

and how much is it going to cost US?

I get the feeling we're funding the NWO that will cancel our sovereignty.

UN Agenda 2030 has been around a while
WEF has 2030 Vision and Global Young Leaders
NATO 2030 is a thing
NATO Young Leaders is a thing and related to NATO 2030

Finland/Sweden - one prime minister is a WEF Young Global Leader. The PM for the other agrees there should be a Great Reset.

Biden just tried to give the WHO control of the US when it comes to Plandemics.

If fedgov can't be fixed, the globalists ARE going to make their 2030 goals and the US will no longer be, nor will any other Western or 1st world country.

No, the purpose of NATO is to stop Russian aggression, even if it were to mean war.
