Nancy Pelosi shoved the daughter of newly elected Republican Latina Mayra Flores during the swearing in ceremony. However, the undeterred young lady stood her ground and smiled like a princess.

Something I have noticed from my childhood in the Mississippi Delta many, many years ago. Most hardcore racist cannot stand for a black or brown person to touch them. It also seems to be true of the hypocrites that preach to us about “equality” from the pulpit of their elected office.
Pelosi might have been the daughter of a covert “gumba” in Baltimore circa the 1950s/early 60s. Italians know but won’t talk.

Nasty should have to wear a sign that says “I’m a broom riding bitch”. The the poor little lady wouldn’t have stood next to her then and risk catching something.
it looked to me that the girl was trying to not cuddle, but just lean on nancy for a bit of comfort- and nancy was having none of it- because she was a little brown girl, and also a from a republican family
Hopefully this empowers the girl to continue to stand up for herself, including learning new skills. Such as how to stomp an instep.

I witnessed it repeatedly in Pennsylvania when I hosted Fresh Air Fund children from Harlem at my home in a lily white suburb .
Some told their children that they were not allowed to play with my children until those “black b****** “ went home.
One neighbor, a pillar of the Catholic parish, told me to my face that I “had some nerve bringing black people (kids under ten) into her neighborhood.”
Pelosi reminds me of that nasty neighbor whom I put in her place many years ago when I told her she was a bigoted hypocrite.
Pelosi is ademon.
I think much is being remarked on a few seconds of swinging arm gestures and mildly clumsy interaction on a very crowded stage. The fact that many assume malicious intent by Nancy is a measure of just how deeply she (Nancy) is disliked and distrusted. Mayra would be wise to take the high road on this, and not become quickly bogged down in petty wars this early in her political career. There is not much upside in becoming to thin skinned over presumed insults.
While Pelosi is truly an ugly person inside and out, probably best not to make too much of this awkward action. I agree with your post #18.
The "elbow" is from around 0:53 to 1:02. Compare that to how she is toward everyone else when there is eye contact.
