The “Axis of Evil” is forming...
But not India... hopefully. Are they still at war with China?

BRICS is viable because the Biden Administration will not invoke the penalties involving banking and currency transfers for those who violate the American sanctions against Russia. If they did, it wold mean a very serious confrontation with India, China and Brazil. The Biden administration also knows that thanks to their green lunacy of no drilling, no pipelines and no new refineries, The US will be forced to import refined products such as gasoline and diesel from refineries in Russia and India. Biden has weakened the United States in many ways.

Which would make them what? BRICSI? BRIICS? BIRICS?

When South Africa was a different place, maybe part of BRICS.
Now, not so much.

A challenge to the petrodollar is on the horizon.

First of all, Russia has no place being part of BRICS. I am not sure their even should be such a concept of BRICS, but Russia's economy has no basis for being grouped in with China, Brazil and India. I doubt South Africa does either, unless someone presents some impressive evidence.
I don't see any evidence Iran belongs in there either.

The BRICS mechanism aims to promote peace, security, development and cooperation. It also aims at contributing significantly to the development of humanity and establishing a more equitable and fair world.
In other words it is a rejection of United States hegemony.
