Russia fired a series of rockets at a shopping center in Kremenchuk, Ukraine, on Monday, raising alarm bells that Russia is stepping up its attacks on civilian structures regardless of the loss of life.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Monday there were more than a thousand civilians inside the shopping mall and the casualties to come might bring even more shock and horror to Ukrainian people already confronting so much death and destruction as Russia has been waging war in Ukraine for 124 days.
“The number of victims is impossible to imagine,” Zelensky said on Telegram. “The mall is on fire, rescuers are fighting the fire.”

No military strategist wastes expensive missiles on random mall attacks. Something was there, or they had intelligence something was there.
I read recently that Russia supposedly discovered a command center for the hundreds of CIA operatives (now admitted by NY Times and WaPo) working in Ukraine. The CIA can’t operate from a government building with the the letters “CIA” on it. Perhaps they just might choose an abandoned shopping mall close to the Donbas?
So make a false claim then say, get called on it, then say you don’t really care anyway. Nice.

Pull your head out of your ass. Ukraine has and is using their own population as human shields. Russia has noting to gain by killing civilians.

When I read things like that, I tend to disregard it as a form of propaganda. I don’t dispute that the Russians fired on it, I am not there, don’t know, and given my feelings about Ukraine and its allies lately, I care less than I might or should.
But weirdly personalizing it in that way is unnecessary, and for them, I believe, counterproductive.
Yet they have killed 10’s of thousands. You pull your head out of my ass.
My Kiev-trained Ukrainian immigrant doctor says that NATO and the CIA should have never got involved in the Ukraine. Everyone should have simply agreed on neutrality for the country. He said once the Maidan coup happened, he knew it was only a matter of time before a war happened, so he got his elderly mother and father out.

“The video show a burning shopping center which does not seem to have an urban surrounding. Some 20 civilians are hanging around and watch as the firefighters do their job. They show no panic or grief. The shopping center’s rather large parking space is empty except for some five cars which all seem to be undamaged. I see no bicycles.
If there were 1,000 people in the shopping center how did they get there? How did they plan to get home?”
“Another video from a different perspective also shows a large empty parking space with two soldiers strolling by in full battledress. They have helmets on, wear body armor and carry their weapons. They have large military backpacks. Some other soldiers who are hanging around in olive green clothing great them….”
“Kremenchuk is on the Dnieper, far from the front lines. Why were the soldiers at the burning shopping center. Was there something in there that was of military interest?”
