That is a large area to control by force, with crap air support, poor logistics and a determined enemy.

Jack should Overlay the map over Iraq.

We controlled the entire country of 40,000,000 Iraqis and installed a new govermnet in less tha a month and that turned out great.

Russia has 1/4 of the country, no real local government support and no path for local support... the longer the war drags on, the more the Russians will be hated.
