Trump opened his Saturday night Save America rally by praising the Supreme Court for its decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.
Trump said:
. . . . . . This breakthrough is the answer to the prayers of millions and millions of people. And these prayers have gone on for decades and decades. They’ve been praying, and now those prayers have been answered.
“To the generations of Americans in the pro life movement, as well as countless constitutional conservatives, your boundless love, sacrifice, and devotion has finally been rewarded in full. Congratulations,” Trump said.
. . . . . . .
He said:
As the candidate in 2016, You remember that? — We did better the second time but let’s not say that. Did a lot better the second time we did a lot better in 2020 — I promised to nominate judges and justices who would stand up for the original meaning of the Constitution and who would honestly and faithfully interpret the law as written. We got almost 300 federal judges, and three great Supreme Court justices confirmed to do exactly that.
Trump applauded the Court for finding the “courage” to overturn Roe v. Wade and bring the abortion rights debate back to state legislatures.
. . . . . . .
“We believe that every precious child born and unborn is the sacred gift from God,” Trump said.

“ goal is to get people to”
Which still begs my question-
What philosophy is that? “To get people to…”
The goal of any American following the constitution and the goal of the Supreme Court certainly does not include “goal is to get people to…”
Christianity, my friend. Spread the word of Christ.
“ to get people to”
Is Christian?
No it most certainly is not.
Do you have anything substantive to add to the discussion or are you just going to nip pick words and concepts? If it’s the latter, please leave me out of it. Thanks!
Yes. I do have something substantive to add
No where in Christianity, no where in the Gospel nor in the life and teachings of Christ is there a directive to ‘get people to ‘ do anything certainly not to change their thinking
Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
You can pretend that ‘teach’ is somehow secret code for ‘get them to..’ but it is not.
Now I have had enough heresy.
must be tough to live with such narrow views. To preach, literally means to advocate, urge acceptance of something. Jesus was a preacher, or do you disagree he even existed? Are you a member of some nutty cult or just a troll?
“ urge”
Does not mean to ‘get them to”
Further, “teach” does not mean to “urge”
If you believe overturning Roe V Wade was a step in the process you are speaking for very few
Overturning Roe V Wade was about minding the constitution. Period.
At this point, I have no idea what you’re trying to say, and not inclined to ask. Take care.
“ At this point, I have no idea what you’re trying to say,”
Yes you do.
For anyone believing you I’ll spell it out. Again
Christianity is not a faith of coercion
It’s hard to have a conversation with someone who does not understand the meaning of words, and I assume it must be really hard for you to function in society with such a limited vocab. Coercion is by force or threats.
I have a degree in inglish. I teach high school English in a prestigious Catholic institution
