Commando Network Coordinates Flow of Weapons in Ukraine, Officials Say

WASHINGTON — As Russian troops press ahead with a grinding campaign to seize eastern Ukraine, the nation’s ability to resist the onslaught depends more than ever on help from the United States and its allies — including a stealthy network of commandos and spies rushing to provide weapons, intelligence and training, according to U.S. and European officials.

But even as the Biden administration has declared it will not deploy American troops to Ukraine, some C.I.A. personnel have continued to operate in the country secretly, mostly in the capital, Kyiv, directing much of the massive amounts of intelligence the United States is sharing with Ukrainian forces, according to current and former officials.

Few other details have emerged about what the C.I.A. personnel or the commandos are doing, but their presence in the country — on top of the diplomatic staff who returned after Russia gave up its siege of Kyiv — hints at the scale of the secretive effort to assist Ukraine that is underway and the risks that Washington and its allies are taking.

Exactly how is the CIA constitutionally authorized to conduct this covert war?

JFK was just lousy at foreign policy, without JFK there would not have been Vietnam, the 60s revolution, the 1965 Immigration Act that he wanted, the chain migration that was in his party platform, federal unions, the mental hospitals emptied into homelessness.

America would still exist if Nixon had won in 1960.

Absolutely.
A “quality” comment is on-topic exact and precise. You may have a differing perspective, but I believe a “quality comment” increases the value of the conversation topic. Quality comments recognize and ask for clarity of different points/issues expressed within the conversation.

“No Man is an Island” is significant reflecting on the reason the world responds by supporting Ukraine against the invasion by Putin of a sovereign nation.

Yes gitmo, good point: God helps those whom help themselves.
from Aesop’s Fables. But, I also believe Christians need to act, but follow the leading of God not self. Christianity is not for cowards!

Aesop’s fables were easy to assimilate into the Christian tradition because of their resemblance to the parables of Jesus recorded in the Gospels that teach a moral lesson.

Many of the fables were rewritten by the Christian monks that often elaborated on the morals of the stories & added Bible verses in order to bring the fables more fully into the Christian tradition.

The article is about the CIAs illegal involvement in a foreign war, not your deflection into irrelevance. Please try harder.

I want the America om my Youth. The One that made the best, most destructive weapons in the world and that gave, then sold them to our new best friends and employed tens of millions of of God, gun and America loving patriots.

That is the America our our past, present and future.

No shit war is bad. Not supplying weapons, so one side gets crushed by someone who is demostribly not our friend to somehow spare them the misery of fighting for their country is assinine.

I don’t care if Globalist and George Soros started it, If someonewants our weapons to finish it, here you go.

If someone is worrying about “the money”, Biden wants to spend 10X more money paying of loans for Gender studies and other worthless degrees.

Your opinion of the CIA of course matters. But, is one aspect of topic.

An excellent post never attempts personal control of the conversation by over-riding others’ comments that is cognitive bias with inability to imagine that others would have a perception of their own.

Recheck comment #63:

“Absolutely.

Still unable to focus 🧘 on the subject matter? It’s no wonder you often drift into weird religious corners. Is there something wrong with you?

“That may be true, but the CIA didn’t start this one.”

You can be sure the CIA was the vanguard in overthrowing the elected government of Ukraine in 2014 and installing the Nazi-friendly Zelinksky as a puppet in a proxy war. Research “Victoria Nuland”, crafter of Obama’s Benghazi coverup and Obama-Romney-McCain-Graham sweetheart re: the 2014 Ukraine government overthrow.

Like the pain inflicted on the U.S occupiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Unless you think U.S occupiers are always legitimate, which you probably do.
