The warning comes amid soaring tensions with the Nato-member country after Moscow claimed it has removed a Polish flag from a memorial site commemorating the killing of thousands of Poles in the Soviet Union.
Russia's defence ministry says its troops have killed "up to 80" Polish fighters in "precision strikes" in the eastern Donetsk region.
It said in a statement: "Up to 80 Polish mercenaries, 20 armoured combat vehicles and eight Grad multiple rocket launchers were destroyed in precision strikes on the Megatex zinc factory in Konstantinovka".
And the mayor of Smolensk, where the Polish flag was removed Andrei Borisov, confirmed the saying: "There cannot be Polish flags on Russian monuments.
"Even less so after the frankly anti-Russian comments by Polish political leaders.
"The culture ministry of the Russian Federation made the right decision by removing the Polish flag. Katyn is a Russian memorial."
Meanwhile, tensions between Russia and the West have reached a boiling state after Lithuania's announcement to ban sanctioned goods crossing from the Russian mainland via its territory to Kaliningrad.
As a result, Poland has called on Nato backup in the Suwalki Gap the stretch of land that separates the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad from Belarus.
Speaking at a news conference in Brussels, the country's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said: "We are going to seek the reinforcement of this corridor... in our talks with our partners from NATO.".

Here we have the “Major Escalation” as being from one’s point of view. For the Poles, I believe that it can be seen as a potential major affect. Read this leading paragraph and from being a Pole, whom remembers the slaughter of its leading academics, politicians, and officer corps by the Soviet at the Kaytn Forest: “The warning comes amid soaring tensions with the Nato-member country after Moscow claimed it has removed a Polish flag from a memorial site commemorating the killing of thousands of Poles in the Soviet Union.”
The Poles will see it as a major insult and a warning/provocation by Putin to NOT have any thought of backing Ukraine.
The major point of contention is whether or not the Russians have the strength and capability to launch an invasion of Lithuania and/or Poland. And whether or not the Putin’s allied Belorus president & government will aid Putin in such an attack.
LOL
Once all US military personnel complete training in CRT, and how to address someone with the proper pronouns, they’ll be ready to take on those big bad Ruskies...and the Chinese.

Shouldn’t they be groomed first?
They could publish "The Big Russian Book of Polish and Lithuanian Jokes".....
You just gave democrats endless ammunition for the next 4 to 5 months which they and their Marxist propaganda media

SCOTUS knows that the Dems will not easily relinquish their control of the US election system, so it does not matter. And worse its open season on reporting any illegal actions - news networks can now be sued for such stories which push election conspiracy theories.
Polish history is full of instances where Russian threats lead to Russian action. So, Polish concern is easy to understand. Here I do think it’s bluster!
Great link...thanks for posting it.
Why is Russia so big?

The entire world will be a smoking ruin and some here will say, “But Russia attacked Ukraine so it was all worth it”
BobL, whoever the hell he is, an arbiter of truthfulness! You can’t make this stuff up…
Bogeyman Alert!!! Everybody Run For Your Lives!!!
;>)
Why pretend you need a provocation from Poland? You avoided such nuances in 1939, no problem. You can do it now without Hitler’s help, no Polish flag in Karyn anymore, go right ahead! Pleasantries be damned!
Diversion.

Poland.
Follow the gourd.
Ukraine invited them in. What are the Russians doing there? Ukraine did not invite them in.
The Poles, and to a lessor extent the other ex-Soviet block countries, are like the little yapping dog that barks and instigates trouble with a big dog, then when the big dog reacts, they go running under the skirt of their master, in this case the US.
George Washington warned us about being led into foreign entanglements due to the passions of those with emotional attachments to foreign lands. If the Poles had any sense they would think twice about their continuous poking of the bear over their historical grievances before it comes back to bite them later on.
Communists love using the term neocon on everyone who opposes Russian imperialism.
Well, the Russians carried out the massacre, don’t you think they should get some credit for giving Katyn some notoriety? The Russians were so humble they even tried to give the Germans the credit for what the Russians did.
Bullshit. They even host Lyndon LaRouche nuts as writers.
