MADISON, Wis. — Planned Parenthood in Wisconsin immediately halted all scheduled abortions at its clinics in Madison and Milwaukee following the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling striking down the Roe v. Wade decision on Friday.
Wisconsin has an 1849 law that bans abortion, except to save the life of the mother, but whether that law is enforceable was expected to be the center of yet-to-be-filed lawsuits. Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul, a Democrat, said he would have news next week about next steps in reaction to the court’s ruling.
Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin President Tanya Atkinson said in a statement that the group will now focus on getting patients in Wisconsin access to “safe abortion care where it remains legal, offering travel assistance, and providing appropriate follow-up care when they return home.”
A Republican candidate for governor, Tim Michels, earlier this week called on Democratic Gov. Tony Evers to put the Wisconsin National Guard on alert in the event of violent protests. The office of an anti-abortion group in Madison was vandalized last month and no one has been arrested.
On Wednesday, Wisconsin’s Republican-controlled Legislature refused to overturn the state’s ban as Evers called on them to do. Evers is making abortion rights a pillar of his reelection campaign, as are Democrats looking to take on Republican U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson.

Gnashing of teeth not enough blood for libtards 🤪
FYI: “Under the Wisconsin law, doctors could be charged with felonies for performing abortions and face up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines.”

They’ll just come to Minnesota.

But they can no longer argue the constitutionality of the process.
Next step is a “necessary” medical procedure. Tougher hill to climb.
Or Illinois
“I don’t know if (the state abortion ban) is enforceable or not, but there isn’t going to be anyone who performs abortion in Wisconsin for the time being because they don’t want to take the risk,” Lester Pines, founder and senior counsel of Pines Bach law firm, said.
“The practical effect of this is, for the time being, women in Wisconsin who are seeking abortions will go to Illinois or Minnesota.”

Tanya Atkinson, president of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, said patients were in waiting rooms of the group’s clinics when the ruling was released.
“When the ruling came down, we had to go out to those individuals who were in our waiting room and say, ‘We’re so sorry, that decision that you made for yourself, for your family, for your future, is no longer your decision to make here in Wisconsin.,” she said in a call with reporters.

(Sorry, Ladies! You’re going to have to wait to give birth, then strangle it yourself.)
Those party girls in Madison are going to be pissed…
They might have to invest in some birth control.
Yeah, I know. But, the blood is now on their hands, and no longer on Wisconsin’s, so I guess I can live with that.
This is going to further divide us. And, I really no longer care! :) Right is Right and Wrong is Wrong. And killing babies is WRONG.
Did you see that a guy shot by MN cops got a million plus for his injuries? Ugh! Meant to ping ya. The story is posted here, somewhere...
I’ve been following that story...
Looks like what they are going to do is offer travel packages. I’m guessing they will offer the whole deal. For a price they will pick you up take you to an abortion canter and bring you back. Making profit at every step.
Ellison and Walz will probably use our budget surplus to pay their transportation costs.
Guess now they’ll have to pay more attention to those baby formula plants.
It is much safer for an infant in the womb today in the United States then yesterday! AMEN!!!
It simply amazes me that anyone even gets pregnant anymore. Aren’t there like DOZENS of ways to prevent it, with abstinence still being the best form of birth control?
And you can buy a ‘Day After’ kit for $46. They’re in plain sight in the ‘Health Care’ aisle at Walmart, right next to the condoms and all the other paraphernalia.

My ship has sailed, as far as worrying about pregnancy, but the older I get, the more I love them babies, and if ‘inconveniencing the mother’ saves even a few, Praise God!
Also - WHERE are the adoption advocates? Why have they been so SILENT on all of this for so long? That has never made sense to me. If I ran an adoption agency, I’d have been trolling PP parking lots, offering these girls the MOON to let me find a home for their baby! Talk about missing some easy sales and doing The Lord’s Work!
But, nobody ever asks me. ;)
Well then, why didn’t YOU ping ME? LOL! :)
There will a new mom 20 years from now having her first baby who will be alive because her life was spared today.

As part of the deal Planned ParentGhouls also get to keep all ‘scrap parts’ for resale. *SPIT*
