“If they are painting them green then it’s the Arctic for sure! This is the Army after all.”
The Army is reactivating the 11th Airborne for arctic operations. What’s up with that?

11th Airborne being activated in Alaska. One Brigade from 25th ID already renamed 11th ABN. More to follow. Will train at Ft. Wainwright for Arctic duties. Strykers being sent elsewhere. New type cold weather vehicles will be introduced.

"The Army is reactivating the 11th Airborne for arctic operations. What’s up with that?" And if that's not spooky enough, that was Rod Serling's division in WWII.
He wore his jump wings on a bracelet for the rest of his life.

"The Army is reactivating the 11th Airborne for arctic operations. What’s up with that?" They had elements at two different posts 300 miles apart and neither element was big enough to be its own division. So they rolled them together and put them under the same umbrella, even though they will continue to be stationed on two different posts.
