In Ukraine’s Occupied South, Russia Tries to Build Loyalty to Putin
The Wall Street Journal ^ | June 20, 2022 | Thomas Grove

Days after Russian forces occupied the southern Ukrainian city of Berdyansk, residents gathered in the main city square with Ukrainian flags to sing patriotic songs and tell the troops looking on to go home. The protests grew daily.

Soon, Russian forces stopped them, as part of a monthslong campaign of coercion, threats, propaganda and violence aimed at crushing Berdyansk’s resistance and bringing the seaside city under Russian rule.

The fate of Berdyansk and other cities under occupation now depends on how long Russian forces remain in control of southern Ukraine, where Kyiv troops have already launched counter offensives. Ukrainian authorities say Moscow’s efforts to hand out Russian passports, introduce the ruble and distribute new textbooks for the next academic year are an attempt to wipe out the Ukrainian state and instill loyalty to Russia.

Russian artillery and military transport vehicles showed up in Berdyansk, Tatyana Tipakova used Facebook to call residents to gather in front of city hall and to tell the Russian occupiers to get out.

One morning, Russian forces detained Ms. Tipakova in the corner store she owned. They took her to a nearby penal colony, where she said interrogators beat her hands and head and tried to suffocate her with a gas mask over the next 36 hours.

They sent an electric current through a metal clip affixed to her ear. They threatened to ship her to the Russian cities of Rostov or Vorkuta as a laborer unless she made a video renouncing her pro-Ukrainian stance. She acquiesced.

“Everything was about that video,” she said in Zaporizhzhia, to which she fled after her release. “I could hold out until the electric shocks started, then I thought I can’t fight anyone if I’m stuck in here, only if I stay alive and get out of here,” she said.

Rancid bullshit. They left out the best part… the part where drunken Russian soldiers were bayoneting all the Ukrainian babies they could find.

Having spent significant time across UA, and lived for most of a decade in RU, I have been able to get to know and develope developed friendships with many people in both countries, and across different vocations and government.

Not far from where the town in this piece is, almost two months ago, an evangelical Ukrainian pastor friend was not even telling his people to rebel against the Russian troops, but it all went “south”.

Most of the younger married and unmarried women in his church were raped, with several severely beaten. This went down to young teen girls. Any of the few husbands still in the town were beaten and shot. A few of the young women died.

My pastor friend was badly beaten in front of his people as he refused to tell his people to support the Russia Army which had just raped and murdered some of their young women and a few men. He was unlikely to survive the gruesome injuries reported. He was thrown into the back of a truck, and hasn’t been seen since.

At this point, it is likely he was buried or cremated in one of a couple hundred mobile crematorium trucks.

We have put out a number of prayer request for several similar experiences as this.

God will allow man to do evil, as men are not robots, but there will be a pay day.

“God will not be mocked.”

“Whatsoever a man shows, that shall he also reap.”

They’ll figure it out in time and tide - they’re accustomed to Russians and Ukrainians living in many places in Ukraine along side each other. Just as many Ukrainians work in Russia.

Yah, cause a little rape and murder of girls doesn’t leave any lasting problems.

Besides, they are just Ukie girls -

And who needs a pastor, when you can have the Russian guy who just murdered your little girl...

That is some twisted sickening, hard left type, anti-God rhetoric.

Ukrainians and Russians to share similiar behaviors among their populations as we all know.

The Ukrainians are the occupiers.

The Bolsheviks work propaganda better than our Ukrainians. They spend serious money. Reports from our friends and family in the Donbas and across Ukraine has convinced me that Russian crimes have been underreported. In the occupied areas it is very much like in the days of Stalin and Beria. We have Beria’s goons right here on FreeRepublic.

Sadly too many people here would rather believe lies from the Caucasus bot farms or Russian state propaganda than believe hard evidence of mass graves and eyewitness testimony.

Often from Russian people who were barely putting up any resistance hoping the Russians were actually there to protect them... only to get brutal treatment back.

Khokols are Khokols whether they’re Russian or not, in the eyes of the invaders.

Pathetic really. A lot of people here are stooping to the low of Holocaust Denial because doing anything else might whiff a bit of being on the wrong side of a domestic ideological schism. I asked one why he was doing it and all I got back was incoherent verbal diarrhea back talking about Trump didn’t win therefore the Ukes deserve everything they get.

It shouldn’t even need to be said - if Trump was the President this wouldn’t have happened. He didn’t start wars. He ALSO made it clear he wouldn’t hold back if a war came to us. He knows a victory for Putin’s rampant Rashist thuggery would be a global disaster.

Like it or not, this war was started by a kleptomaniac, raging Russian cancer ball to end the “unipolar” world order that includes free and fair trade between sovereign states, in accordance with decades old standing international conventions. We are not dealing with a restrained, organised strongman anymore; we’re dealing with a man whose own mortality and rage has descended into utter madness.

A Putin win doesn’t just mean ending American interference, it means Putin’s brutality wins. His success in eastern Europe ensures China and Russia get to redraw the world map as they see fit, rip up the rulebooks, and impose their will over the free world. And heaven help you if ANYTHING you need ends up on their side of the land grab. Why care about the Berne, Hague, Geneva or any other conventions if you can get what you want through blackmail, invasion, genocide and famine.

China only needs to grab Taiwan and it’ll be South Korea and Japan in the firing line for complete control over the global semiconductor supply chain.

Russia only needs Ukraine and the Baltics to effectively control the bulk of resources that Europe and Africa both rely on.

Do these assholes ever stop to think that MAYBE that’s why Trump is NOT a Holocaust Denier like they seem hell bent on becoming... let alone a Holocaust Enabler?

Notice how the pro-Russia faction is reluctant to respond to anyone who talks about what their on ground contacts say is really happening.

Isn’t it interesting...

For decades the preeminent bane and enemy of hierarchies such as Communist Internationale, Supreme Soviet, Chinese Politburo, and US Marxist DNC/Uniparty have been those pesky rebellious conservative news and media outlets, largely from the US.

Now, as the easily faked out, and groomed “conservative” media outlets align their allegiance with Putin, clearly having been successfully groomed to love — these groomed anti-American Putinists have simultaneously given the leftist powers in federal government the reason they need to finally shut down the very media outlets the Putin/Xi/Yuan-un/Babba AXIS, and the US Marxist DNC/Uniparty have for decades wished they could end!

Leftist using their leftist pals to hoodwink and crush their new groomed “conservative” cannon fodder.

Easy peasy 🇲🇦🇷🇺🇮🇷🇨🇷

In the end, Russia won’t attack the NATO member nations surrounding Ukraine as Putin knows he will lose,

Americans are tired of defending every nation on the planet that is attacked, tired of the Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Pakistan, Somalia, Ukraine, etc, boots on the ground or proxy wars.

We’re 30 trillion in debt, have stagflation, rampant crime, and don’t defend our borders when we defend everyone elses.

The only logical position is neither/nor: neither supporting Putin nor Zelensky. And especially so given Hunter’s involvement in Ukraine, 10% for you know who, and the $40 billion MIC grift that occurred.

And aligning with Zelensky would mean aligning with Nina Jankowicz, globalists, and Biden, which if one does this makes them a liberal.

Trump, Russia, and How Not to Lose the Information War With Nina Jankowicz

https://irishtechnews.ie/trump-russia-the-information-war-nina-jankowicz/

She herself said she is Polish/Ukrainian. She worked for the Ukrainian government before working for Biden.

Her job was to attack Trump and knock down anything said negatively about Biden or Ukraine.
