Sunday, conservative talker Mark Levin blamed the January 6 House Select Committee for what he declared to be the “demise” of the country, which he said was an effort to get an indictment against former President Donald Trump.
Levin deemed the effort evidence of a post-constitutional America.
Transcript as follows:
LEVIN: this is a pocket copy of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. It all comes down to this, doesn’t it?
I’ve spent 40 years — 40 years of my life studying this, really longer if you think about it. And why is that? Because this is supposed to be the overall law of the land that protects our individuality, our freedom, and the civil society.
And in many ways, we live in a post-constitutional America and those who are waving around the Constitution today on the January 6 Committee had been major participants in its demise.
Let me ask you a question: Let’s say you’re going to go to a Court of law. There is no Judge. There’s no jury. You don’t have a lawyer. You can’t call witnesses.
You can’t provide exculpatory evidence. In fact, you can’t even be heard. You just have to watch and watch.
Let’s say the jury is chosen by Nancy Pelosi. But don’t worry, it’s bipartisan. We have seven Democrats and two Republicans. And there is the media in the back, taking pictures, rolling the cameras, taking notes as scribes for the prosecution, the prosecution being the jury.
And then reporting, oh, we have new findings. New information has come out.
It is not a perfect parallel, but it’s good enough.

Lose what you’re not willing to fight for.
Levin helped us get there by insisting that Obama was a natural born citizen.
Obama was born a British subject/Kenyan national even if he had been born in the Lincoln bedroom and came back from Indonesia as an Indonesian.
The purpose of the clause was to prevent foreigners from the office.
Anyone born with more than ONE nationality IS a foreigner.
The next President needs to get rid of all the Obama appointees in the DOJ/FBI.

The Constitution has not been in effect since FDR and company kicked it to the curb.

I’ve given up on Levin twice now.
The first when it became evident he was a congenital never-Trumper.
Took me years to forget.
The second was when he ignored the entire history and politics of the Russia/Ukraine/globalist-gangster proxy coup and Ukraine’s genocide of it’s Russia-speaking population and went full knee-jerk globalist cheerleader.
I’m not coming back this time.

Woodrow Wilson.
Wilson was unable to make much of the progressive lawlessness he wanted stick. FDR made it stick and Eisenhower subsequently rubber stamped it rather than repeal it all when he could have saved the nation for a relative pittance.
Not much of a Constitutional scholar if he doesn’t get that the reason the founders put the natural born citizen clause in there was to prevent anyone with foreign nationality from being President.
John Jay’s letter to George Washington makes that eminently clear.
I remember hearing the term “post-constitutional America” during the kenyan’s terms.
Wilson got the Fed, income tax, and while it didn’t last, league of nations.
I do agree that FDR and the New Deal took things to a whole ‘nother level. SCOTUS capitulated to infinite federal government. All three branches in cahoots against the people and the constitution ever since.
That is when we left the rails of the Constitution.
Wilson did what was needed from the POTUS at the time to facilitate the FED.
As was so often Joe Sobran said it best: The Constitution poses no threat whatsoever to our current form of government.
