European Gas Rises Further as Russian Cuts Bring Rationing Risk
Yahoo Finance ^ | June 19, 2022 | Anna Shiryaevskaya

European natural gas prices rose after rallying 43% last week as Russia’s steep supply cuts put governments on high alert amid a mounting possibility of rationing.

Benchmark futures rose as much as 8.1%, with shipments via the Nord Stream remaining at just 40% of capacity.

Supply is likely to remain curbed with Gazprom PJSC’s chief Alexey Miller warning there’s no solution for now for issues with the gas turbines essential for the functioning of the pipeline.

That’s forcing major European consumers to withdraw gas from the reserves they have been building for the winter when demand typically peaks.

The government has asked Germans to reduce consumption and plans to rely more on its coal plants to keep the lights on as gas supply remains uncertain.

Europe has been scouring the world for extra shipments, and boosting imports of liquefied natural gas to fill any shortfall. But a prolonged outage at the Freeport LNG plant in the Texas has made fewer cargoes available from the US, which the continent was depending on to fill storage sites. It’s also having to compete with Asian buyers for cargoes at a time when the global market is stretched.

“Europe will need to battle with Asia and Latin America for any incremental LNG supply to facilitate reduction of Russian pipeline imports. That means higher prices as we saw last week.”

Italy’s Eni SpA, one of the European buyers that have seen their Russian supplies curbed, will have its deliveries on Monday only partially confirmed. The country may trigger its emergency gas plan as soon as this week if Russia continues to curb supplies, a move that may involve asking companies to voluntarily limit energy consumption, according to people familiar with the situation.

Okay, let’s examine that. We would all have thought that if the U.S. wanted to engage in a world war they certainly could. But, apparently we would all be wrong...:-)

I have known for quite a while that we aren’t the military that we used to be; but I had no idea it is as bad as it is. A freeper posted the other day that we are more than a decade away from being able to engage in a “near-peer” military conflict. He said the reasons for that is that for a long time we have trained for and engaged in coin/diversity/mercs.

I appreciated his candor; but the post upset me. So I asked someone I know who had military experience and he agreed completely with the freeper. Then to add insult to injury I watched Scott Ritter, Larry Johnson’s latest podcast and Ritter with a great amount of detail was adamant about our inability to do this. Though he did say we would achieve some limited success at the beginning with aviation. But, that good air defense would overcome that.

Most of us make jokes about what we see and hear about the military these days....flight suits for pregnant women; gay pride flags everywhere and rainbow bullets for our marines...paying troops to have their penises cut off so they could experience being the woman they were always designed to be, etc. Travis’s posts of the Russian recruit film vs. our nauseating garbage about the female who sounded 12 heralding her upbringing from two strong mothers done in animation. And let’s not forget Milley’s concentration of ridding our military of potential terrorists...otherwise known as men who still have some testosterone left...:-)

Yes, the democrats need a war (probably the Canadians and the globalists, too.) But, we can no longer fight large, strong, experienced militaries. It’s why we do all our wars as “proxy wars” now. Next up...China!

Again, you post is aligned with what I know, being both a veteran and fully engaged in defense and intelligence systems. We cannot fight a peer-level adversary. We have internal strife of all kinds. We have leaderless defense organizations bent on social justice and not war fighting. We have what I consider a serious breakdown of military discipline and bearing. We have a tribal military with hispanics, blacks, and others segregating themselves. We have enlisted telling officers what they will and will not do. We no longer have military green/blue suit maintenance and operations and, instead, have turned over much of operations and maintenance to contractors. This leaves officers and enlisted as vendor managers and not knowledgeable subject matter experts.

Systems are very complex and fragile these days. Parts and repair and upgrades are a must, but these things are not suitable to the tempo of wartime.

We saw in the first gulf war that 50% or greater of women were not combat effective: Pregnancies to leave the service, medical issues, outright incompetence, low re-enlistment numbers, and refusal to deploy became issue. It has only gotten worse.

I could go on, but we have systematic deficiencies that cannot be overcome just because we go to war and people perhaps turn patriotic about it.

—”I don’t have a plan, but I have a goal: Avoid the rush to Nuclear World War 3.”

That meshes nicely with bidens/euro slow walk to Holodomor II.
And you believe that will placate Putin?
For how long?

Putin’s success with nuclear threats will clearly vivify the nuclear wannabes. With backing from China and putin...

Lithuania seems not to realize they’re playing with fire. Or somehow thinks they can get by with it since they’re part of NATO.
For my part, they, Lithuania, broke the treaty so they’re on their own. You sign a treaty and you can’t back out.
Putin has proven that he will fight for what he thinks is right for Russia.

Once again Europe seems intent on committing suicide.
I say we stay out of it this time.

Beware a hideous globalist false flag incoming

… or the purpose of war is an excuse to:

1. Renounce national debts that cannot ever be repaid
2. Throw the world into chaos
3. Spring the great reset to enslave the world

You need a common enemy.
You need a distraction
You need people longing for change and willing to change anything - including nationalism.

The globalists want destruction of the existing world order to implement the great reset… and not to fix the world systems

I commend the following pipelines to your attention:

Power Of Siberia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_of_Siberia

Sakhalin–Khabarovsk–Vladivostok: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sakhalin%E2%80%93Khabarovsk%E2%80%93Vladivostok_pipeline

They already have the pipelines to pump into China, they have more under development into the region (and have for a while) such as the one going to Pakistan. They have railheads at the Chinese-supplying pipelines and that links their eastern pipelines to their western ones. Won’t take them long to start shipping by train as an interim.

Sure, as long as they do what the Russians want. Otherwise? “Oh, too bad, guess we’re not selling you gas.”

Except the expansion plans that would allow that to happen got torpedoed by the Biden Admin. So they don’t have that as an option, not in any useful timeframe.

Life kind of sucks, unless you REALLY believe that Biden is going to Saudi Arabia to check out the historic sites in Medina.

Wonder what the “leader” of Lithuania will do when he is left holding the bag while standing on top of the burnt carcass of his country?
Putin doesn’t have the mighty Soviet army of old, but what he has is plenty capable of producing smoking ruins wherever they desire to. Ground and pound works as well in the military as it does in MMA.

They have always used large wars to deflect from their failures. Canada, too.

They can’t even begin to initiate the Global Panopticon without chips.

Could be the Global Elite has scored an own goal and it is all spiraling out of their control.

They have made a huge mess of things. Who would accept, let alone beg, for these incompetents to rescue the world with their 4th Reich?

Seriously, I am counting on it. Putin obviously isn’t doing this for our benefit; but him killing America’s biggest enemy, the “new world order” will be amazingly beneficial for us.

We may return to “government of the people, for the people and by the people” once the Deep State is defeated no matter who defeats it...:-)

Putin has been killing Eastern Orthodox slavs in Ukraine. His 22 year dictatorship has crushed Russia's people and now is attempting (and failing) to crush Ukraine.

And you cheer him on?

The leader of Lithuania is not “following Washington”

Putin has clearly stated that he see’s the Baltic states to be integrated into Russia.

The last time that happened, half of the population was sent to Siberia.

If Putin leaves a smoking ruin, he leaves it close to Kaliningrad and St. Petersburg - which he ain’t going to do.
