If Russia cuts its gas supplies to Germany, what happens next?
Energy Post ^ | June 20, 2022 | Benjamin Wehrmann

Posted on 06/20/2022 1:40:04 AM PDT by Mount Athos

Gazprom in mid-June announced gas flows from Russia to Germany through the key pipeline Nord Stream would be reduced by about 40 percent, arguing that German engineering company Siemens had failed to provide the equipment needed to carry out repairs.

Production cuts due to gas shortages could disproportionately affect producers of energy-intensive basic materials like chemicals, steel, fertilizers or glass.

Some industrial installations would be permanently damaged if they have to be turned off for an extended period of time.

Company leaders have therefore warned against “dramatic” consequences of a domino effect in supply chains that could set in if their products are no longer available.

To help decide how a rationing and shutdown sequence could look like, the BNetzA has requested gas grid operators and industrial customers to specify their consumption levels and future gas needs on the “Gas Security Platform.”

Canada, Seimens and Germany still in talks to resolve the Nord 1 pump issue. Hard to understand why Canada will not agree to release it since it is impacting all of the EU.

The morale situation for the Ukrainian troops seems to get worse every day.

“In the course of a special military operation, the enemy suffers significant losses . So, since May 19, for a month of fighting, the 14th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine alone has lost more than 2,100 people killed and wounded. Due to the low moral and psychological state of 800 people intended to make up for the losses of this formation, they refused to go to the combat area , accusing the officers of incompetence, bribery and nepotism in the payment of monetary allowances.

◽️In the 10th mountain assault brigade, about 100 military personnel of the reconnaissance unit were removed from combat missions due to mass disobedience to the command and taken to Kremenchug for investigation.

◽️ A significant part of the commanders of the 30th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have withdrawn from the management of their units and are evading combat missions. Any pretexts for simulating diseases are used. In most units of the brigade, not a single officer was left.

Because Canada will do Alberta no favours, ever.

What happens next? Russia implodes

Putin didn’t develop Russia at all, he just extracted stuff out of the ground and sold it, all the while building his Nazi dictatorship.

A drop in customers (and China and India aren’t going to make up for the loss) will lead to Putin’s regime imploding.

This will lead to a civil war in Russia - expect the Caucasus to assert its independence as well as Tatarstan and Yakutia

He must be a sorcerer with a crystal ball to be able to predict the future of Russia, yet ironically ignores Europe going to sh*t in real time, now.

Or is just triggered.

Nope. We sent weapons to ensure your Putinistas die.

Russians will die in the thousands - even more than in the Donbas.

And your President Putin will be responsible for the destruction of Muscowy’s empire

LOL. This position has been consistent since the Chechen Wars, even though Russia has let you go when the wall fell and wasn’t aggressive towards Poland ever since.

What do you think was the role of Poland in the fact that the reconciliation between Russia and the West didn’t take place after the Cold War?

Now, in light of this position, why do you think the Russians shouldn’t abolish your tribe as a cultural entity?

Your hateful rant sounds like the mouse that annoyed the lion for too long and sees the writing on the wall lastly.

Simple. Germany’s production runs out of gas. Green-weenies cannot save them from seeing massive unemployment.

Let the Saudis supply them and the US supply itself. Want an executive order? Here’s one. Only US petroleum will be used in the US for the near term. We won’t have to rely on foreign supply chains and while we may not produce enough to handle non-vehicle uses, we can get trucks back on the road, lower prices a bit and hopefully check inflation.

Puty Putin is a mystery wrapped up in an enigma.

Putin is destroying the EU the USA and NATO, and Brandon is powerless with no answers.

At the same time Putin is an incompetent getting Russia troops massacred in Ukraine.

Germany is getting what it programmed in itself when it closed its nuclear plants and made itself dependent on one foreign source.

Are you having a bad day Cronos? Russian exports to China are up 67% since the war started and China will buy everything they have. Get a clue. The Eurotrash were too clever as they mocked Trump while they deindustrialized,
shutting down nuclear and coal plants while building pipelines to Russia, and became depending on Russia. They lost the war under Merkel.
