While more Nevada Republicans than Democrats voted last week in the primary election, the overall turnout of 23.92% was “not too impressive” but also “not too surprising,” said David Damore, professor and chair of the UNLV department of political science.
About 220,472 Republicans voted, or about 35% of those registered, according to the Nevada Secretary of State Office’s website as of Thursday. About 135,296 Democrats voted, or 18% of the party’s registered voters.
National Republican Senatorial Committee Spokesman T.W. Arrighi said in a statement that “you can’t manufacture voter enthusiasm out of thin air, and a primary voting disparity like this in Nevada is special.”
“Democrat policy failure on a historic level has helped move Nevada further and further toward the GOP,” Arrighi said.

Almost no one supports the Democrats. But they can still come up with 81 million ballots if they need to.
There’s unexpected and now there’s the expected or not unexpected.
With the price of “capitalist” gas being what it is, the “democrat” drop box voters couldn’t afford to drive to a drop box to drop off their completed stacks of “mail in” ballots.
Primaries are just that, primaries. We’ll see in Nov how many votes (ballots) the left can create.
“you can’t manufacture voter enthusiasm out of thin air”
LOL…the Republican turnout rate was TWICE the Democrat rate. You CAN generate enthusiasm out of rampant FJB.
Here’s the kicker........
Everybody knows the failure of the Democrats to sucessfully produce their socialist/Euro/UK agenda. Since the socialist cuse is lost, who make the effort to go vote?
Democrat low voter turnout will exacerbate the problem and the wipeot at rhe polls
“Democrat policy failure on a historic level
and the dems say “hold my beer”
so most of the rats voted in the Republican primary?
Turn out will be very low for the midterms too. But RATs will win anyway,
Couldn’t they just ride the bus? That way they don’t need to buy gas.
“so most of the rats voted in the Republican primary?”
Well, that’s what Freepers were saying about the GA primary. However Nevada has a closed primary system, you have to be registered as a Republican to vote in the Republican primaries (and same for Dems). I guess the doom and gloom crowd will have to take a break from eating worms and come up with some other explanation.
That’s why conservatives need to find and run MAGA red Donald Dem DINOs in ‘Rat primaries.
Otherwise we fight half a battle.
LOL.
And soon the unanticipated unexpected.
the Republican turnout rate was TWICE the Democrat rate

Amazing when you consider that Republicans don’t do much of anything to motivate their voters to turn out for them. Just saying.
Doing their best to make an apple pie out of horse apples.
Primary election turnout is a weak indicator of general election turnout. A good leading indicator is voter rolls. A couple Freepers used to post voter registration statistics prior to the 2020 general election. (Another reason not to believe Brandon received 81m legal votes.)
EVER been to NEVADA???
MUCH MORE open rural space than city bus ride spaces.
Wait, who still identifies as a DEM these days given how the country is utterly imploding? /s
Just for reference, have met one BidenIdiot voter who openly acknowledged such. No doubt have met more but they not going to acknowledge they voted for BidenIdiot. Hmmm.
Damned Putin.
